Not to mention the motorcycle was running at the back wall at full speed with no room to turn around, and then suddenly in the next shot she’s going back the other way.
These things actually make sense when drawing your own conclusion though. Sadira already being up with Hisako, then coming down to her level, does not. That is not even mentioning that they didn’t even bother to show her go up in the first place. Your above me, then all of a sudden, I’m above you, and have to come down to your level. So ok. She jumps up higher than her, creates a hammock web, for herself to walk on. They can’t show any of that. Just gonna skip pass it all. How would showing any of that hurt the scene, and not make it better? If you don’t want to see Ki improve in the cinematics department, cause you some how think it makes you less supportive of the game, then to each his own.
How would including it make it better?
That’s like saying watching character walk across a screen staring at each other is as entertaining as watching a stylish combo. Some stuff just isn’t meant to be highlighted and would not add much if it was.
This thread
Who cares about censored. -__-
Just imagine a fly and spider; fly tries to wringle away, spider kills.
In the video, I’m pretty sure she slices the neck of her prey.
Sadira’s ultimate looks awesome, looking forward to seeing ARIA’s <3
Because it’s unnecessary and therefore wastes time and clutters the scene. Heck, even just saying it illustrates that problem: Saying “Sadira traps her opponent in a web and then descends upon them for the kill” is better than “Sadira traps her opponent in a web then jumps to position herself above them, then webs herself something to stand on, then uses webs to decend upon them for the kill.”
yes totally the same thing, and same context. lol
Also you guys are forgetting one other thing. If you guys want to make an excuse for it, you can, but. Hisako is suspened against the wall, in the air. Lets say for the sake of debate, that Sadira use her web to bring herself down. WTF is she standing on? There is interpretation, and then there is just making excuses. I’m out.
Dear God, the amount of nitpicking on this thread…Sadira’s ultimate is fine it’s short, sweet and to the point.
The animation looks a bit weird when she approaches them while caught in the web…aside from that its ‘meh’
As far as the killing blow being left off screen, I thought I might point everyone to this:
Well, She is part spider. There is a spider outside my house that slightly did that exact same thing that Sadira did approaching a fly. Was at a higher point not on the web, and lowered itself with web onto its prey.
After it ate the fly, I killed it, because I didn’t want it in my house.
I still kinda wish they were high risk supers instead of finishers.
After over 3 years people realized this is T rated game.
That’s sadly true. Allow me, just this once…
WELCOME TO RATED-T FOR TEEN, BOYS AND GALS!
I think the issue with that is this game has an unprecedented level of fan input when it comes to being to give the devs suggestions and help shape the game, and because of that those that think this game should be MKX: KI edition keep trying to push to make the game more gory.
Why?
I dunno…adulthood validation?
Others have kinda hinted that this is what they want. I don’t think that was meant to be directed at you, but then again, I didn’t accuse you wanting that, so I won’t speak for anyone else. Just assuming.
Yeah but Catwoman lassoing her opponent needs to be shown, otherwise the jump to her dragging someone by the lasso wouldn’t make sense. In contrast, we SEE Sadira use her webs and then smack the opponent up in to them. Isn’t reasonable then to assume that she used her webs to get to where she was?
As for Akuma’s super, I tend to think that Sadira’s neck slice follows the same principal. To me, it seems more stylish if you don’t show it. If you disagree, no problem.
They could have. But they chose not to. Maybe it was timing constraints, maybe it just didn’t look right from any angle, maybe they just thought it’d look cooler the way they did it here. I personally think it does. Her face coming down to meet Shin Hisako’s face. I don’t see how that gets enhanced if you pull the camera out to show her coming down with webbing on her or however you’d like for this to be portrayed.
Eh, I really don’t see how showing that improves anything or gives us a better understanding of what’s going on. We already know what’s going on.
So what… Jago uppercuts the opponent, runs about ten feet back, does a few leg stretches, loosens the old back up, then runs at full speed and jumps to get to where the opponent is?
In all seriousness, the part that you’re describing isn’t necessary to see. Why would Jago running and jumping help us at all when we already know what he did to get there? At best, it adds an extra few seconds on that we don’t need and at worst, it detracts from the style.
For sure. We all have, in our minds, how this would look at its best. No harm, no foul.
What is she standing on? Seriously, who cares? Excuses or not, it’s left open to the imagination because it doesn’t need to be shown. It’s not relevant to the cinematic view that they wanted, so they didn’t include it. For real, you seem to be trying to look behind the curtain a bit too much. Just take the scene for what it is and enjoy it.
You keep trying to find necessity in the mundane, practical aspects of this ultimate and I honesty don’t think that necessity exists. How did she get above Shin Hisako? Her webs / jumping. How was she able to tilt herself down toward Shin Hisako? Webbing.
That’s really all we need to know, and I don’t think that showing any of that makes the scene look any better or more stylish and that’s what they’re going for here. I don’t think that requires an exact chronology of the events from start to finish and I’m not entirely sure why you do.
I don’t think KI should strive for MK level of gore because MK is unmatched on this field.
Anyone who expected Ultimates to be gorefest is a fool.
For potential KI sequel, I would look for an alternative (like that thing from KI2 you could perform finisher during match or something) or go ahead with lethal finishers but with swiftness, not goreporn.
In a sea of nonsensical, nitpicky complaints yours stands out for achieving excellence by going above and beyond nonsensical and nitpicky. See @Iago407’s post about the Crow (I love the thought of him waiting in line to pay at the gas station - maybe getting his credit card declined, lol).
She descends on Shinsako because it looks badass. You might as well be asking where do all these webs come from since she’s not actually a spider or how is it that she has a limitless number of throwing knives or how spinals bones stay together without any tendons. Or how can she double jump in the air thus defying the laws of physics. Her jumping during the cut away is far more believable than almost anything else in KI…
