Use of the word censorship IRT ultimates is not appropriate. Censorship would imply we changed something from an original version to an altered version in reaction to a post-creation inflence, which we’ve not done.

Ultimates were created to look as you see them.

The only time this game has been censored was Hisako’s naginata going through the opponent’s body during her influence move. That is it. KI 1 and 2 were rated T on the SNES and N64 which were toned down compared to the arcade versions and now they’re rated M.

It doesn’t matter that other T rated games are explicitly showing violence on screen:

We’re intentionally riding the line of “are they dead, or not?” with Ultimates, leaving it up to your personal interpretation.

If you’re in it for the brutality, believe that they’re dead. If not, believe they’re not.

Nostalgia is a great thing, but we can’t lean too heavily on it, especially for a series that was dormant for 20 years.

This isn’t the same game as 20 years ago. It’s a different developer and they have their own vision for KI.

I agree with this sentiment in that way I beleive every single Ultimate kills.
