People with relevant knowledge donāt tend to say the things youāre saying. I guess you could suddenly retract your thoughts re: budget, and say, āsee? I know a lot more than you think I do! I sure got you!ā and uh, sure, Iād let you have that one.
Do Rash, Raam and Arbiter never show in Shadow Lords? Thatās a misstep - all this effort to add guests and they ignore them in the flashy new modeā¦ a mode about an invasion from another dimension no less.unless they show up with Eyedol I feel theyād better showcase the big new mode if they didnāt ignore half the S3 cast within it(even Gargos barely counts as you only see him at the end vs grinding the S1 and S2 cast over and over)
I wosh they would use them, saying in the confusion of worldwide panic monsters break free (RAAM), or because of Gargosā gates, Rash pops through for a missionā¦just small things to shake it up a bit.
I mean they did say that the astral plane is an inter-dimensional hub that connects to all sorts of other dimensions and time line. With that they can easily tie them into the story in many ways.
Sersiously, when did having a different opinion become ātoxic?ā Canāt we just have a discussion about this without the labeling or attaching intent?
If not, then yeah, I guess this thread should be locked. Itās sad, because I think thereās a constructive back and forth to be had here, even if we donāt all see eye to eye, but oh well.
Itās topics like this where the only thing I can do is roll my eyes at how entitled people are.
-If you didnāt think S3 was worth it, you shouldnāt have bought it.
-We have more than enough stages already (and did you seriously complain about Astral Plane, a bonus stage that the devs barely managed to make in their spare time?)
-If every Season had a bonus character, that would kind of go against the meaning of the word ābonus,ā wouldnāt it?
-Microsoft cannot throw money at anything they want. They have put in as much as they thought they could safely do after tons of calculations and research. They have put in as much as is reasonable to them and their data. Nothing is going to change that.
whatever the reasoning was for not putting in the stages for everyone in S3 it still sucks. All I hear is the game has enough stages, if the stages were generic and not tied to any particular character I would 100% agree, but the fact is they made it an expectation that every character would have their own stage as that is what they were doing since the game launched, to stop that now is a bad idea I think, because people have come to expect it based on what the developers decided to do when the game was launched. To me personally S3 is the weakest season by far, the stages is just a part of that, other reasons are shadow lords and stage relighting which nobody asked for, instead of things people did ask for like no mercies, more accessories, costumes, remaining stages etc
Thereās a difference between having an expectation and then being a little disappointed, and then complaining when the expectation is changed for the entire life cycle of the season.
If the devs did everything that people asked for and nothing else, we wouldāve gotten an MKX style story mode that people played through once and never again, wasting their resources.
As long as youāre always keeping the fan opinion under consideration, trying something new is a bold move that should be respected IMO
He doesnāt have to, but so what if he wants to? If I see a thread with an opinion that differs from mine, I donāt think itās the worst idea to throw my 2 cents out there and show the devs that not everyone thinks this way. Nothing wrong with that.
Plus, sometimes itās nice to start a dialog and find out why people think a certain way, or ya know, debate a topic a little.
I agree that the developers created that expectation, but why canāt they subvert that expectation and try to do other things now that we have a large number of stages?
Well, I disagree, but no problem. To each, his own. Why does Shadow Lords make season three weaker? I think itās an amazing mode so far. Tons of missions, stuff to get, things to unlock, story bits, etc. For someone that loves a good single player mode, a mission style mode, and a good storyā¦ This is above and beyond the best I couldnāve hoped for in a fighting game.
As for the relighting, why does it matter that no one asked for it? Canāt they try to improve their game in the ways that they see fit? Sure, they take our feedback in to account, no question. But at the end of the day, they have to try and build the game that they think weāll want to play, because at the end of the day, fans can be a really fickle lot, and what might make you happy might disappoint me and vice versa.
Like for me, I couldnāt care less about no mercies or ultimates. We have a way to finish opponents thatās uniquely KI, I didnāt even need the stage moves. But I do agree with you on more accessories and costumes. Thatād be nice. Not essential, but Iād like to see it happen none the less.
The stages thoughā¦ Yeah, Iād like to see Mira and Eyedol get their own stages, but Iād also like to see the characters faces and hair get retouched the way the stage relighting was done. Iād also like to see more content for Shadow Lords and more in game unlockables. Iād like more characters, a few of those fun sounding bonus character ideasā¦
Thereās a lot more that Iād like to see out of KI. Stages are nice, but when put up against other stuff, I just donāt see why theyād be such a high priority for people when we already have so many. Canāt we just adjust our expectations every now and then, rather than expecting IG and MS to bend to our whims because weāre the customer and weāre āalways right?ā
Soā¦why should we have a BONUS character? In order for it to be a bonus. It has to be an unplanned character. S3 is the most planned out of the three seasons.
