Please IG make also a Sexy glamour pack for girls

Sadly that’s exactly what I see.

You did, and continued to belabor the idea that sexualized content for female characters should be created anyway.

The fact that you’re blind to the hypocrisy in your own posts with regards to this topic is staggering.

I joined this thread with the intent to back up the OP, he wanted glamour outfits to be added into the game and somehow I got heat for trying to defend him. I agree with you, we’re talking about video games here.

Right, and my response was that if we’re debating anything that’s silly by comparison to those real issues, then why debate anything about this game at all, because everything about a video game is silly when compared to abortion or suicide in the real world.

But the real world issue we’re talking about here is an overall culture of over sexualizing and objectifying women. If you don’t think that video games play a part in that, regardless of how small then I don’t know what to tell you.

Man, do you think they do that because they like being treated like objects? It’s called collecting a paycheck. If our culture overtly and aggressively objectified average looking guys, I’m sure many of us would gladly star in commercials where we oogled a camera for money. That doesn’t mean oversexualization simply ceases to exist because a small portion of the population is willing to profit from it.

Wow, I’m really sorry to say this, and I absolutely mean no offense here, but you’re really in the matrix on this issue, aren’t you? Like, you have a suspicion that it exists on some level, but you don’t really see it or anything close to the extent of it and how it affects our society. To you it’s just a silly video game or a commercial or whatever. I hope you’ll read up on the subject a bit more. I’m sorry, I’m sure that sounds condescending as hell and I really don’t mean it that way, I swear. You seem like a good guy, so no real negativity intended.

Being objectified by marginalized groups is just a tad bit different. Again, it’s about how our culture treats women versus how it treats men.

My apologies if you feel like I’ve been personally attacking you. I’ve made a few observations, but I’ve tried very hard not to make any of them too pointed or too angry sounding or anything like that. I just wanted to have the conversation and I’ve enjoyed your perspective, even if a few things that you said were rather surprising, so please don’t think I was trying to shut you down or be a jerk to you or anything along those lines.

Ever wonder why there aren’t more women playing fighting games or on these boards? Do you think that women just don’t like this genre? I’m curious to hear your thoughts.

Some do. When a topic specifically lists the word “sexy” in the headline, you’re going to get this debate. You want to talk about other stuff related to outfits, there are other threads for that. I’m curious to hear what kinds of outfits you’d like to see.

Have you been keeping up with this thread? There was an earlier post which suggested that the idea of “sexualized” content is subjective and I’d have to agree especially in this day and age. I’m not blind to my arguments, you just can’t read.
I don’t need sexy outfits for characters to play KI as I’ve clearly been without for 3 years now but I’m certainly not going to say no to them either.
Yeah, you blew off Zenith as if she were some dude just talkin’ in the wind until she made her gender known, and that was only after you implied no Women of KI were engaged in the discussion.

I call myself Mister. Do I have to send out qualifying photos of my potty parts before I present an opinion? Or can we maybe try and look at sexuality a little more neutrally? You compare Ryu’s admirable physique to Orchid’s costume wherein logistically her labia would be exposed, as if these are true 1:1 comparisons.

Blame has nothing to do with it. Certain people make wholly disingenuous to flat-out nonsense arguments, and try to protect their persona by feebly backpeddling on their arguments.

As to conversations on these forums, what would you know? You only show up to complain that Kim Wu doesn’t look like a K-■■■■ star or that Orchid doesn’t show enough skin to satisfy a nostalgia that relative to your age can only appeal to the basest of desires.

It’s pretty simple, if you actually take the time to read and think about the things being said in this thread (myself aside - I’m gonna be harder on you cause you try to milk money out of these people, and I wanna see you sweat a little. Plight of the entertainer is the heckler).

You could’ve phrased this better, I think…

This isn’t opposition to their existence.

This is hedging your bets so you can say “I never said we HAD to have them” despite repeatedly stating that they should exist because they existed in a game from twenty years ago and decrying anybody’s reasons as to why they aren’t necessary and why the team’s time would be better spent elsewhere in KI.

So you want me to just switch my entire stance on the topic? I’m not against them, I will never be against them. I meant what I said, I don’t just say random crap to please people. The only and i mean THE ONLY time I’ve ever fought to get these types of costumes in the game is for the retros and so have numerous others on the fourms. So now go yell at them too.

I’m officially done with this argument now.
I think time spent actually play video games instead of beating this topic death is a better idea at this point.
I’m sorry that some of us here don’t see eye to eye.

I hope we can all get a long in the future and just love KI.

Subjective. I think we can all agree that when most developers, especially in this genre, try to bring “sexy” to their games, they’re not very subtle about it. While that still leaves room for subjectivity in theory, in practice, it’s not nearly the crutch you seem to think it is. Even in the instances where some might find something attractive while others don’t, I think that most of us can accurately estimate the developers intent, don’t you?

Does that somehow make it okay or make you better than others that just want T&A? I’m not quite sure how, but okay.

Always, man! It’s all good. We can all disagree about stuff and not have it get cruel or nasty or whatever. No hard feelings.

This thread is starting to become incredibly dangerous - I think we need the Crocodile Hunter…:crocodile:

…because we’ve entered…

The DANGER ZONE! :rocket:

You don’t have to twist your opinion to match anybody else’s; but when you (or anybody else) posts ina public thread on a controversial topic there will be people who disagree with you.

You’re bringing very little actual evidence to the table as to why they should exist, and then getting defensive when others push back with their own reasons.

All of your reasons for why sexualized costumes should exist (or you “wouldn’t say no to them”) boil down to the following;

*I can turn on the TV and watch the Victoria’s Secret models, or go to the beach or view images online
*The older KI games had them
*Because I want them
*Because (insert generalization) often dress that way already

None of which are compelling reasons, particularly on a subject which the Dev team has been extremely clear about.

It’s ok, I was only speaking in response to a rather large generalisation being made which was a little unfair, it’s irrelevant that I have lady parts as I’m just here to enjoy the game and participate in community discussions and I’d probably not even have mentioned gender unless I believed it to be relevant to the discussion. Also I’m used to the old switcheroo happening upon my gender being revealed, so it doesn’t really mean much to me that @CrazyLCD suddenly finds my opinion “valuable.” :stuck_out_tongue:

Orchid has a reasonably good retro, it could simply do with a bit of fixing, which is one thing I can agree with you on as it’s a bit patchy here and there.

Hmm…well done with my nap, I suppose I’ll see how this conversation is going…

…you know, on second thought, I think I’ll go somewhere else for a bit.

Lol yeah that pretty much sums it up

Here’s another costume idea/suggestion now: Have ALL of the current KI characters wear food costumes/outfits.

Examples: Hot dog, hot pepper, cheese, ice cream, milkshake, corn, hamburger, etc.  :joy:

Fulgore as a hot dog…because mechanically separated meat product sounds appropriate for a robot.

Oooh…can Spinal be a bowl of Captain Crunch?

Broccoli costume/outfit for Aganos because he is, after all, the one and only Broccoli Man

Props to the master shake idea, but it would probably be messy to wear.
