This is sort of an astonishing statement. You are either being deliberately obtuse or you havenāt spent any time with MKX. The womenās outfits are LESS sexualized than previous MK games, thatās true. But they are still pretty out there.
Yes they have. First of all, they made a big statement on it when MAKING THE GAME. Second, you can find many direct statements on how they are attempting to make awesome, strong female characters rather than just sex dolls (paraphrasing).
Itās good to know you pay just as much attention to what you write as you do to what everyone else writes while you are putting together your incoherent rambles. For the record, Juriās Christmas outfit is actually less problematic than her default outfit. If a similar (maybe toned down) Christmas outfit were introduced for a KI character, I would be fine with it (at least based on that picture).
You included a lot of blah blah about āequivalenceā of sexy men outfits and sexy women outfits which Iām not going to get into except to say that it just isnāt equivalent. @NitricZenith did a great job of explaining this. Itās also worth noting that Japan has very different standards that America. Iām not trying to fix Capcom.
This I agree with. I am being selfish. And I make no apologies for it. I am 100% in this thread to defend my own interest and ability to get time with KI. Orchidās default outfit has cleavage, and Mayaās retro (as well as Kim Wuās standard and retro) both show belly buttons. You canāt try to cast my view as ridiculous by talking about things Iām not opposed to.
And also, letās harken back to the thread and how we got here: Not one person has come into the thread and said they were opposed to āsexyā outfits. What they have said is they are opposed to ridiculous, gratuitous, skin showing sexy outfits that are out of place, out of character, and unappealing. Like Orchidās KI2 outfit. which sucks.
If MS and IG put an MMA fighter in the game and she wears MMA garb, thatās great with me. If MS and IG put a super sexy fighter in the game who actually looks decent, thatās great with me too. Iāve said that multiple times and you just choose to ignore it because itās inconvenient for you. Thatās fine. Iām not trying to convince you. I just want the developers to know that there is at least one person strongly opposed to adding overtly over-sexualized female characters to the game and I appreciate the way they have approached female character design up to this point.

I sincerely feel sorry for the female members of our community, because I seriously doubt they enjoy having to repeatedly read threads where males are defining (and speaking for) the way their gender should be displayed.
As to the āwhy is this discussion always about the female characters?ā question; I have never seen a thread created asking for a costume with portions of male genetalia completely exposed.
Think about that for a minute.

Personally I would agree with @MaruMDQ and @BigBadAndy. While I could go on for hours on my little soap box about hypocrisy and double standards, lets get back to talking about the game. I seem to recall someone saying theyād like to see Kim Wu in a wedding dress, then I had an idea. Letās do that, and put tusk in a tux and put the bride and groom in a death battle that would be something for machinima to cover (death battle on machinima YouTube) check it out itās fun, though not related here unless you watch Riptor vs Yoshi also funny.

With everyone constantly calling Hisako their wifu I would think itād ve a good idea to put her in a wedding dress. I think everyone would likely get on board with that.
Since this is all very played out, maybe we could move into a more positive direction and find things we can agree on.
What constitutes an awesome outfit for KI characters that you would love to see and purchase?
Iāve been saying for about 2 years that there should be Lara Croft outfit/accessories for Orchid. Her design is so close to Lara that it kind of boggles the mind that they havenāt done this already. Similarly a Joanna Dark outfit (assuming JD isnāt going to show up in the game) seems like it would be appropriate as well.
I think a Terminator inspired more skeletal Fulgore would be great. Take off some of his plating to show whatās underneath. A lot of work for that one, but still potentially very cool.
Kim Wu in a Bruce Lee Enter the Dragon jumpsuit. She already looks a bit like Bruce Lee, so why not commit?

Ideally Iād like the actual character instead but Iād live with a cosplay.
Also I think Lara Croft is little bit far fetched for me.

Funny when I look at gargos He reminds me of doom and when I look at eyedol I see dark souls.
Just optimism. I just have a gut feeling shes gonna be announced soon, whether as part of this December update or at World Cup.

How have a pile of the best cosmetic suggestions to appear on these forums spontaneously happen at the end of this most fiery of threads? Magnificent creativity, yāall.
Iām especially fond of the idea of Orchid Croft. I mean, she kind of already has climbing gear, but her hair is no good for it. I wish she had better head accessories, like a ponytail or different goggles or something.
I really like the idea of a more Terminator-esque Fulgore gear.
What about dilophosaurus frills for Riptor? That could be neat.

Well one thing about Eyedol is one of his retro colors is pretty much based on the Barons from DOOM (pink torso, brown leg fur), so it wouldnāt be too far removed toā¦sayā¦give him cyborg legs?
Sorry, even with his new design, which I like, when i think of Eyedol I think of his retro. To me that is the true Eyedol design.
But yeah, Dark Souls the crap out both of them as well, why not?
