Yeah, forgot the exact date but because Beam is an interactive software, they said if we beat Gargos with Shin Hisako, everyone would get her early. Though I don’t think many people got the memo.
I actually liked your question. I enjoyed the answer too.
Are you saying the answer was obvious in that they wouldn’t answer it? Who knows, maybe they might’ve given some type of clue or hint or whatever.
Never said I had a problem with your question. Only wished we’d heard more stuff about the future and that they’d had more time to answer more questions.
I actually tried to go out of my way to not insult anyone for asking what they asked, but sure, okay, ■■■■■ me, I guess.
Well the less people the better if it’s going to be everyone inputting commands like twitch plays pokemon then the fewer people the easier it’ll be.
She’s definitely got her dirt (including some I didn’t know about/didn’t show off), but she felt very balanced to me. A lot of her mixup options are really unsafe, so that will kind of keep some of those pressure options in check. Ditto the fact that she can’t just blow up the shadow counter option like base Hisako. And the teleport dash is actually not as good as you might be thinking it is.
I’ll post more of my thoughts and impressions on her once I get back home from traveling.
EDIT: But a quick thought before we take off - I don’t actually think she’ll have very many bad MU’s. She’s a very mobile character with great buttons (not best in class, but really good), a super durable projectile that she can walk behind, a meterless invincible reversal that hurts, solid mixup options and damage, and a grab that lets her thereafter punish any and all zoning attempts from full screen. Shinsako felt incredibly versatile in my time with her, and I think she’ll largely be able to take care of herself in most situations.
Oh, so Bing was a typo…gotcha.
We don’t have a lightsaber character but shin hisako will have to suffice. She is just about everything I wanted to see in a lightsaber style sword wielding character that I have been asking for since a good while ago. Thank you @TempusChaoti @TheKeits @developers I really appreciate it!
Thanks. I thought it only moved forward from the player, but could be reset to the player via HP/HK. That it tracks makes it really good and explains maybe why there isn’t an additional trait to her instinct.
Thanks for your impressions. Curious to see if you pick her up as a pocket character.
Congrats on doing so well at the KIWC. I wanted to see a bracket reset and even a win.
Sleep is a great player although I really hate his playstyle. Can’t argue with his results though.
Had a heated argument filled day today, thus I was very angry when wrote that. Now I feel like an A**.
Sorry broski. I’m cooling down now.
It’s all good man. Reading it, I can see how I might’ve come off like I was being derogatory. I was frustrated at what wasn’t being asked, not what was, ya know? Hope that makes sense.
Either way, I had a garbage day too, so I know how that goes. No hard feelings at all, man!
The Crossup and Mixup potential game she has seems very fun. Gonna lab her when she comes out, and see what I can find.
Gonna be so much fun!
@WrathOfFulgore To get SHin hisako early for everyone you have to beat Shadow Lords with Shin hisako while playing KI through BEAM.
ON GOD LIKE
Lol can we pick the character? Eyedol is godlike on shadow lords
Hmm…a challenge perhaps?
…wait, is she available in Shadow Lords already, or going to be, like Kilgore was?
Only team requirement is Shin Hisako must be on your team.
It’s in the ridiculously punishable range, when blocked. Tested it with Storm, KI4LIFE, and Skeletal for reference.
Her light cross up special is, I believe mid teens and has to be blocked immediately. There is no juggle-ability whatsoever. Soft knockdown and minimal damage.
Her medium and fierce versions have a brief window where you are to block in the opposite direction before the move hits. So, if you see her on the opposite side of you, block it like it’s a cross up. There is juggle-ability on these versions.
What’s going to be key here is when she uses the shadow version of the move, you need to look at her stance. From the freeze, you block the opposite direction like it’s a cross up.
Personally, I think where Shin Hisako suffers is with characters with armor, Aganos, and those with a form of a projectile.
Her spirit orb IS NOT INVINCIBLE on start up when you attempt to dash forward, whether it’s on your head or thrown from her specifically. No projectile invincible moves.
She has two hard knockdown enders, damage, and carry/wall splat ender. No battery.
All of her specials enable her to at the minimum, take your turn (-2 on light rekka 1st), to absolutely punishable. She makes up for it with her great medium and fierce normals and their speed. 6f standing strong for one.
So can you play shin hisako in shadow Lords before her release date?
