Rewatched her gameplay breakdown. She’s seems to play more like Shago than Hisako. Dash through cross up, auto cross up specials, straight upward DP, instinct gets spent entirely on a grab. Looking at how i think she’s supposed to be played she kind of does what Shago does only better. The main difference i see is that she’s ment to back off and set up her mix ups to be safe/better whereas Shago just goes in non-stop.
You’ll need to set-up a lot of those shenanigans though with the mist orb thing. I wish her Instinct included another trait besides the creepy hand crawling thing----the damage seems to be fairly small when it hits for an instinct use.
I suspect that she may still have some very difficult match-ups, but can’t wait to see what the community comes up with.
I’m not great at predicting gameplay, but with the orbs, teleport cross ups and space control I suspect that Shinsako can get really tricky using the instinct to control space. It’s less about getting hit by it and more about giving Shinsako a chance to open youup while you are busy avoiding it.
She seems she might be reliant on setups and space control. I’m sure that she’s deadlier than we saw during the walk through.
I love the guys that played the Shin Hisako set, but I could tell that the Hisako muscle memory and tendencies were kicking in. I think she’s gonna be more in your face, rather than waiting or baiting an opening.
I’m a little nervous that Shinsako will evoke the Shago frustrations, yeah. I imagine that instinct grab (while low-ish damage at about 25%) will be virtually inescapable with even just 5 minutes of training mode time, especially since it tracks you for the whole 15 seconds so temporary escapes don’t really mean anything. I’m also nervous that her crossup stuff is gonna be really hard to stop, so the frame data on that will hopefully be really negative if blocked. If it’s in the, like, -3 to -5 range then she’s gonna be really, really strong.
Unlike Shago she also looks to be a high damage character, so we’ll see. Still lots we don’t know about her but I’m nervous a bit.
If you played Guilty Gear, Shinsako reminds me to Venom.
More on that later
Wow.
… Why are you replying that to me?
Glad they made my Gamertage investment value rocket through the roof. Now bring on Violent Orchid.
Because of fulgore’s ultimate that’s in the video.
… I still don’t get why you’re telling me that. XD
But alright.
Your “wow” makes it sound like he was the only person that thought Fulgore’s Ultimate would be a cranked-up devastation beam. I think it’s been a general idea that’s been going around the forums that his Ultimate would be like this, just because it was so obvious, especially given how little extra work would be needed to implement it.
…not saying it wasn’t hard to make, but probably less so than, say, recreating his KI 1 gun head, which at this point would better left to Kilgore anyway.
It doesn’t track though, but moves across the stage. It can be reset to start over from ShinSako’s position via HP/HK during the duration of her instinct, but didn’t notice if it has immediate startup or not.
It does track. As in, if you are on the left and you jump over it, it turns to follow you towards the right.
Was anyone doing that bing thing to get her early for the rest of us?
Sorry guys if it didn’t make sense as to why I responded that way, it just seemed easy. My only point was that I kind of guessed his ultimate and well, @anon39655210 shared max’s video which features it. The “wow” in that comment was just me expressing that I’m surprised that the devs actually did something similar to what I had said months ago.
What Bing thing? There’s a Bing thing? I do Bing things. I wanna do this Bing thing.
…sorry, I’m in a silly kind of mood today.
Ah, thanks for the explanation, because I was legit confused. XD
Think he means Shadow Lords with Beam plays Killer Instinct.
