lol at people who keep thinking it’s going to be a guest character from another game. First of all, if you haven’t noticed, KI doesn’t have the budget to acquire guest characters. Secondly, if MS were to get another guest character it would be from their own IP’s in order to promote their own games.

I preferred S2 text streams hints, or screenshots from body parts, like when Omen was hinted.
I’m hyped for the new chars, but dunno…
I miss the old fashioned hints

Yes, it is so much better and hype to know what is coming and wait for that, rather than being trolled and stay in the darkness. You can build some myth when you know.
Now it looks like a hype abuse and revenge from the developers to the players.
This method is terrible and this is why i hate capcom. I hope the developers understand that we want to have fun through our involvement with the game.
I am becoming tired with all that silence, since last year.
Trolling is $#/+.
I keep believing that this is a hyped tease for a new Guardian just because I vaguely recall @TheKeits saying there would be a Guardian that would completely change how we played SL mode. If this is true it could be worth that level of hype tease if it has a critical impact on the story and way we play the mode as opposed to just giving a nice stat buff and a special ability.
However if I am wrong and we get an awesome classic Samurai style character hopefully similar to Bishamon from Darkstalkers and playing like a Hisako/Spinal hybrid… yeah I’d have a new 3rd favorite character, lol. I’m kind of crazy about ancient cultures/history, particularly Fuedal Japanese stuff like Samurai/Ninja. So this Katana thing has me stoked whether it’s a new character or a gamechanging Guardian.
Could be a high end Guardian that attacks, perrys, and gives you a TJ style “second breath”.

@rukizzel why cant it be similar to the way things use to be revealed? It was so much more hype and entertaining. You should take that style and make it your own by adding all the other cool stuff you do!
Wasn’t Kim’s original reveal just a pic of her weapon though?
I really do miss the full on character trailers with the character reveal at the end. Probably the best way to reveal new characters I’ve seen. Always loved the presentation on them too. Very cinematic, stylized… They instantly made me want to use that character!
I appreciate them wanting to try new things though, or if time / budgetary constraints forbid it, but I hope they keep that method in mind for any future KI, whether it be a potential 4th season, more single release characters or a brand new game.
I dunno, I kinda like the trolling a bit. I think it’s kinda fun. Plus it’s all good natured. 
But… But you teasered with the sword and the music and stuff…

We definitely can’t discount the possibility. If it is a guardian though and not character 2, I kinda hope they get out in front of it so people don’t go crazy about a ninja / samurai that doesn’t exist.
Still though, doesn’t this seem like s good time to roll out the character 2 reveal? We’re three weeks away from KIWC. Maybe another tease on Tuesday, maybe an outline of the character perhaps? The next week, we get a pic of the character. Then at KIWC, we get the full breakdown and release date (if not releasing during KIWC, I’ll guess early April) plus a tease of character 3, who I’m guessing is Eagle or Joanna Dark.
I dunno, it just feels right to me. Here’s hoping!
Really hope it’s a new character and not something they whipped up from an existing character.getting sick of that crap.

My fear exactly.
I don’t know what’s worse, teasing with silhouettes and non-information or bringing minor stuff as if it’s the next Rockstar Games release. 
I will end up buying it anyway, so it’s more annoying than exciting to me.

Same here, a Shadow Lords mode thats still not working for me (now not even on godlike) and these drawn out teases have made me drift from the game a bit…
Season 2 was the one that drew me in, because thats how you tease people and keep them enthusiastic, the keeping in the dark was fun for a bit, but is getting frustrating…
Next week the Switch and Breath of the Wild will occupy my time for a bit and anticipation for the new Zelda has been front and center in my mind, because I know for a large part what I will be getting (and it looks glorious). Just the idea of a new Zelda is nice, but without all the stuff they have shown and told us about I would not be this excited…
KI needs this kind of excitement, at least tell people what we can look forward to, details can be teased out, just give us a bit of a roadmap. I’m honestly tired of this 
Also, 9 out of 10 times people dont get what they thought they were teased, they will end up be disappointed.
Like the mention of something new every week and then starting with a few color packs…people expected more of them (and were already speculating who else would get colors), but then we only got guardians for a while, bummed me out I can say (maybe I wouldnt feel this bad if I could actually play SL though) and kind of useless for who ever doesnt play SL anyways. Why not a more diverse release schedule, color pack, Guardian, color pack, Killgore, guardian, color pack, Ultimates, Guardian, etc…
It just takes too long for new information to drop, there are games I finish in a week and by the time new DLC content comes out, I already sold or deleted the game. Often this is because I have nothing to get excited about anymore, because they dont specify DLC till after I got rid of the game or discovered another one to take up my time. There are so many good games out there, please keep this one interesting, keep my attention, let us know what we are looking forward to!
Right now I’m not even hyped for the tease because it might not be a new character, and that would be so disappointing and anti climactic.
Anyways, in short pretty disappointed in the game at the moment and its losing me a bit, especially with Switch and other good games (Mass Effect) releasing soon…
