When Kilgore got leaked, i had reservations about him too. Just a Fulgore with chain gun arms. But as they walked through his setup in his gameplay reveal? Certainly a remix in animations, decidedly not in gameplay to his ‘brother’ Fulgore. And though i dislike playing my character against him, hes not too shabby.
We’ll just have to see.

No that’s not true. Read her extended bio. She was a martial arts student of her Uncle’s before she inherited the dragon spirit’s power.

I’m going to put some emphasis on this for a second. This is why I’ll always have respect for martial arts based characters and why I can believe it when they do crazy stuff. They earned that power through hard work and countless hours of repetition to try and achieve perfection of form.
They may not always be my favorite characters, but as someone who spent nearly a decade as a student of the martial arts I can definitely respect the effort. They deserve the credit.

On the other side of my previous statement, I love the Living Weapon trope. Whether it be a sword taking control of a host as a puppeteer, or communicating with its wielder as a friend or antagonist. Having people turn into weapons is a bit weird for my taste with a few notable exceptions, but the idea of a weapon having more to it than just “magic slushy stab stick” can be really fun.
I hope it’s something like bishamon from dark stalkers.

Why does everyone theorize that the tease points at a guest? There’s no guarantee that it’s going to be yoshimetsu, or any of the other Tekken guys, no guarantee it would be anyone from MK, or a remix of an existing one. Why can’t the tease be aimed at an original character?

I think it is nothing more than a Shadow Lords Guardian with the abilities of Hisako’s Wrath meter.
I dont believe there is a new character that is a Samurai.
And a major diversion for the true character reveal at KIWC.

Wow that’s a lot of effort just to release a new guardian- they didn’t do that with owl or watcher- wonder if this is guardian with that level of tease would change the game forever.
Still think it’s the tease for the next remix character.

Any way you’d be willing to answer any questions on the new character like “are they a remix?” or “will we see a picture of them before KIWC?”
I’ll be really surprised if it’s just a guardian. They’ve never teased guardians this way before. Also, when I asked in another thread if the next character would be revealed prior to KIWC, then given the full rundown at KIWC, with the reveal of the 3rd character at KIWC, Rukari kinda indicated that was a good idea, or something to that effect.
Now, I’m not saying he said “yep, that’s what we’re doing,” far from it. But I still think that this is the tease for character 2. Anyone want to bet on whether this will be a completely new character or a remix? I know “completely new” is a bit of a loaded expression, but you know what I mean. Is this character Hisako or Aganos, or are they Kilgore or Omen?

Don’t really care too much who this character will end being I’d just be happy if the samurai character had an accessory set inspired by the game Shinobi on the PS2.
