No…I noticed the AI option… I used to do that in Injustice on teh really high AI setting bosses. I may try that next time…good idea!
@CausingThought6 …just under your player card when the tower starts there is a button that says AI option on or off press X. You just turn it on and it plays the AI version of your character which you can adjust in the customize menu or just leave him at an even balance.
Yes…but nt he AI battles…which is a differnt fight menu and option…you can speed up the frames 4x and its like super fast so you can speed througj hit. Im not sure if you can do that on towers of time though.
Ok so these character summoned towers are pretty cool! You get some good stuff for your character and once you beat Kronika you get the character ending just like klassic tower…but… once its over, thats only stage 1. You can summon another tower (Stage 2) for your character for a higher price (50,000 coins this time) …thus better rewards and so on. Nice! Oh and a different boss instaed of Kronika and a lil story board explaining why you are at odds with said boss at the beginning!
I am to a certain extent a bit of a completionist. But being a working adult help put in perspective (for me anyway) what it means to “enjoy” a game. I’m happy to play through a title and unlock things, but the purpose of buying a game isn’t to see everything - it’s to have fun and enjoy myself. If I sink 40 hours into a game and unlock everything, that’s swell. If I sink 40 hours into a game and unlock 20% of whatever unlocks it has, then that’s just fine as well. So long as I have fun with the title in that time period then I’ve gotten my money’s worth. Play the parts of the game you like and enjoy them for what they are; if the grind isn’t fun then suffering through it for an extra 10 or 20 hours isn’t going to magically redeem the worth of your purchase price - your $60 is as gone at 15 hours as it is at 35. Money comes and goes - your time is far and away the most precious resource you have. That’s the thing you really want to make count.
I tend to agree with this philosophy (though I confess I find it amusingly at odds with your aforementioned desire to get your money’s worth), but lots and lots of other people don’t. There are tons of people out there who feel like the mere option to purchase content instead of playing through it is a personal attack, and those people tend be extremely loud and drive a lot of the buzz that surrounds gaming. NRS got ripped a brand new one over the general crappiness of their progression system, and that was with it being almost entirely divorced from any MTX scheme. Combine that with an actual option to just buy all the items you want, and we’d probably still be talking about how NRS DISRESPECTS ITS FANS and forces people to buy xyz. I genuinely believe there is a happy medium somewhere between predatory MTX and developers getting paid, but the conversations and potential backlash around all microtransactions are incredibly fraught. I think NRS kind of dodged a bullet on this one solely because they didn’t actually let people just pay to unlock everything.
Yeah, unfortunately while individuals may have nuanced and reasonable positions, the internet is always a “mob,” and mobs are either quiet or bloodthirsty - nothing in between.
Man, they need to rework the way you activate konsumables. I’ve been playing MK games for so long I just automatically zone out in between fights while it shows you moving up the tower, and if you don’t open the konsumables menu in that 5 second window, you’re S.O.L. They should have had it where you have to confirm that you want to advance on the modes where konsumables come into play.
Oh, and as a cherry to top this rant: Fighting Noob with abyss punches just plain sucks.
Yeah by the time I see what my opponent has in terms of tower special items or whatever, I’m in to the load screen and can’t even decide if I want to use a consumable lol.
MK11 has dropped in price again, greenmangaming has the PC version already at 45 buckeroos. not bad at all, gonna keep waiting to see how much lower it goes or if it stays
