What is Your "Uuugh" Character in KI?

true, I always pick Jago against Gargos, never tried to use my Aganos or Raam against him.

I never had much patience to lab. I prefer to learn being beat on the face than go to the lab :face_with_head_bandage:. Maybe that’s why I didn’t improve much against these characters I talked  I don’t have a good Omen, but I improved a lot with him playing at exibithion, I still being rekt by good players tho. But I prefer this because at least I’m having some fun - if I’m not getting rekt too heavily always and always. Gargos is the type of character that you need to know the MU to be good against, and I don’t know almost nothing about this MU (I don’t know about a lot of MU’s indeed :no_mouth:).

Use jab to punish fired up DP. It’s easier to do and will net you a full combo.

I haven’t played enough of the game to really have one, but based off of what little I have played thus far, I think for me it’d be Gargos. I’ve been playing Sabrewulf more than any other character… only time I switched away from him was one fight I did as Fulgore. But Gargos seems to have stupidly good full-screen zoning, and coming up against a Gargos player kinda scares me a little bit.

I’ll have to try that tonight; coulda swore everything gets beaten by the fire pillar. I don’t mess around in the lab much though, I could be wrong.

Shadow jagos, Gargos and Shin hisako (ether tho shin hisakos are rare to find online )

Godd**ned Rash and Cinder :rage:

Wow, this thread is still being posted in a year later… I guess I should give an update to my list.

Shago still gives me problems but it’s getting better. Every other character I can do decently against nowadays

Eyedol is my current ugh character. All and all he isn’t that bad until he pops Instinct. It has to be the most yolo Instinct ever created. Can’t see anything on screen. Can’t tell if you are being juggled, blocking, shadow countering. All the while I’m taking damage. Can’t tell you how many matches I’ve lost just because I got chipped to death.

I’m starting to use Spinal versus Sadira for this match up, as he can at least power devour it all, but still.

Just block it out! Im pretty sure he cant overhead you while you are blocking it out so just crouch block. Yeah a lot of chip… but if he has instinct then you are doing something right becasue that means you been hitting him enough to gain an instinct.

The meteor is an overhead. Even if you block all the projectile attacks, you are still taking an incredible amount of chip damage and I’ve died a number of times due to this. If you do get opened up, then you literally can’t see anything but the projectiles on the screen, so it is impossible to tell what is hitting you or even if Eyedol is hitting you, and so you don’t know what to break.

The shadow instinct meteor version is not an over head…only the regular meteor is.

Right @Infilament ?

The shadow meter is so deceptive. It isn’t an overhead I know for sure

That is actually very helpful, unless I’m mocked into the air… but If I can crouch block and dodge a good portion of it. I’m good.

You are good, just crouch block it out and I guess watch out for the Fwd MP recapture move…I think that one might b his only over head?

Can’t you be grabbed in the middle of it

I would think not since you would be in block stun or being hit.

You can be grab in the middle of it yes

Is there anything too counter the command grab then in that situation?
