What is Your "Uuugh" Character in KI?

Rash. I hate that guy.

Raam the pig-faced moving tilt a whirl with size 22 clunky clodhoppers that stabs endlessly

The sad reality is, most Shago players I’ve ever played are terrible at the neutral game. They rely too heavily on his gimmicks and once you generally catch on, much of what they know to do falls flat. I’ve seen many a Shago get irritated when I dodged every single fire ball or caught them trying a cross up. Most of the ones I’ve fought will perform a wiffed Annihilation upon Instinct activation and thus miss out and the best part of Shago’s instinct.

Now the ones that actually KNOW how to use him. Those are the ones you have to watch out for.

RAAM. I played a guy that constantly put me in this stomp and grab loop, and that’s pretty much all he did. I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to get out of it. I basically just ran away from him the whole match. Not fun.

Rash is another one that kicks my butt on a regular basis, but at least he’s fun to watch.

Rash is my new “Uuugh” character…

I think he was designed to be an “uuugh” character.

This is kinda true, but at the same time he’s a lot more straightforward to deal with the lots of other characters so if you have a solid reactive neutral game you can deal with a lot of his shenanigans.
Plus something about his attitude is just so disarming. He’s the one character I can’t get mad at for taunting me. It’s just too whimsical not to chuckle at

Everybody.

You can break his stomps. The one that flips you out is a light.

That must be tough @SneerfulWater57 :joy:

Eh, not really. I just take it as I gotta outplay every character/player I come across. Doing so is a whole different matter.

It makes it fun to use others besides my main and go “Ah, so THIS is what having a (insert whatever my main lacks) feels like.”

I can fight just about everyone except for Orchid. every time I lose to Orchid, it’s like she just kicked my puppy in the ribs. at this point, I just put the controller down and get ready to lose whenever I see Orchid’s face

Riptor, Saberwulf and pretty much every character that runs to the edge of the screen and spams me with Projectiles.

Thank God Hisako has Descent…

Work on shadow countering. That makes the Orchid fight a LOT easier.

Hisako; for her ability to cancel into counters.
Cinder: because his EZ mode DP input and the fact that it beats out like everything and autocorrects sides.
Glacius (since s3): Yeah, lets just give a zoner a teleport with armor on top of every other gimmick he has.

Hisako - Watch her Wrath meter, if it is depleted you are free to shadow counter.

Cinder - Cinder’s DP, while annoying, can actually be stuffed by low attacks, save fires up status.

Glacius - play defensive once he enters Instinct. I take to the air as a Sadira main.

I just think Hisako is OP since I had the same ability removed from my character (Fulgore) yet she gets to keep hers. Just a bit salty lol
Cinder I’d have no issue with if it didn’t autocorrect; just stinks porting behind someone and still catching it in the teeth. You can punish a fired up DP with a quickly executed DP but it’s hard to do reliably.
Glacius I usually go for the port mixup into axis slash or c.HP to negate the armor. Spamming port also makes it hard for him to get crossups out of it.

I just found out you can do this in Naruto UNS 4. Pretty Dirty.

I think this might be one of those edge cases where they didn’t want you to be able to DP through a move…

Rash, Gargos, Kan-ra and Shago.

gargos isn’t that bad once you lab the match up, at least

Play against a good Gargos with a slow character (Raam) and you’ll see why he is annoying. Also minions and corner pressure

Also…any character that can dominate me on wakeup or the corner such as Gargos, Hisako, Fulgore, Thunder, etc…I can get really desperate and lose my composure quick
