That’s what he says? I thought he said delicious. Also did not know that’s what he was taking. I thought it gave him back some health. Was relieved when I noticed that wasn’t the case and it didn’t take any health from me. So I just thought it was a worthless move, like a taunt.
i think he says both. its not a taunt he takes your meter, most probably to summon those minions.
Yeah but he builds more meter than you do. SO by the time you have 1 bar he has another minion out and an extra bar.
In most cases, you can punish a portal punching Gargos by blocking the 1st PP and counter-attacking before he throws out a 2nd, even with minions. I do it with Aganos’ natural disaster all of the time. I’m sure you can do it with Jago’s wind kick; Omen’s, Orchid’s, or Shago’s slides; Spinal and Fulgore’s teleport; etc. Don’t let him cower you into submission.
The only one of those that would probably work is Shagos slide because that is the only one that is fast enough. Even then Gargos can just throw out medium PPs or Shadow Pps to stop it. And you could be hit in your startup by a minion,or on recovery by Gargos.Teleports are very punishable and you shouldn’t teleport in neutral EVER(Unless you want to mess with your opponents).Just blocking and jabbing minions is imo the best way to deal with it.
Yeah, but if he does the former, he doesn’t get a combo off of it, and the latter is only really effective if you’re grounded - otherwise, it drops too. If the golem’s roll (which has a slow startup) will work, I’m sure other things can too. Everybody’s got options - you just have to find the right 1.
This is fine. Portal punch combos do like 10% damage max. It is often worth that life to bring a minion’s hit points down to 1. You have to be willing to take some damage sometimes to deal with minions - life is a resource, and your job isn’t to horde as much of it as possible. Spend small amounts of life to get minions out of the equation; preferably before Gargos builds up enough meter for an immediate re-summon.
Medium PP isn’t so much about getting combos as it is just sending your opponent back a few feet. Those PPs do add up if you keep eating them. But lets say your opponent doesn’t like to use M.PP. I assume since you’re punishing PPs you use heavy natural disaster, slide, windkick etc. Those moves aren’t fast to recover and don’t go full screen so if you don’t eat a PP then you’re taking combo damage when you recover.
Heavy natural disaster doesn’t go full-screen? Hmm, that’s news to me.
Recovery doesn’t matter because many of those moves hit Gargos during the startup of his 2nd PP, regardless of what kind of PP it is.
Block? Natural Disaster going full screen is news to me sorry m8.If your opponent is throwing non stop PPs then they are just asking to take a YOLO slide or in your case natural disaster
Which is my point. The only real issue is any minion in your way, and most attacks will plow right through them. What bothers me is that the minions actually cause momentary hit-stop when you hit them, and that can slow your momentum on your way to their boss.
But eventually they’ll wise up and bait your slide or ND which is my point. It’s a good strat once or twice but eventually you’ll have to deal with the minions another way.
That’s when you start using your block and poke method.
That is the key to life
Not for the minions.
Omen. I don’t like his random spam projectiles
Gargos’, Spinals’, Cinders’, Tusks’ and Fulgores’; only if the people playing them are gods. I just can’t win against Spinal and Cinder gods. I hate losing because of lockouts against Tusk. Spinal makes even my Kan-Ra feel helpless at times.
lol yeah I used to haaaate Shadow Jago. Like, a lot. But, over time I’ve gotten used to him. Slower play and crouch blocking allow me still to roll my eyes at the player behind Shago while alleviating some of my hatred toward the character itself ;p
My hated character in KI is Hisako.
She counters my everything, i often mistime a breaker because she is charging a strike during a combo, most i fought always teleport and it makes it hard to deal with. And what i hate the most is she can still do her Counters and Teleportation while she has an empty vengeance bar, without any type of difference…
