I mean Jago feels like Ryu. Omen would’ve felt like Akuma.
I just don’t want a new game cuz likely my mains (as in, the three guest characters) would likely not be there.

I would like to avoid the stereotype characters. Note we have the chance to make some Trey creative characters. I still want a gorgon kind of monster, and the Lovecraftian character has potential. But we are not going to get those characters if people are so fixated on characters like akuma, or like scorpion, or like Joanna dark. We need to think outside the box if we want some really boss characters.
Odd…I thought Shago and Omen were this game’s Akuma.

Nah. Your determination made you a good player. Arbiter just triggered that determination. It’s possible for other characters to do that.

I love this sentiment. I’ve tried the other characters but my number one fighter is still riptor. Along with saberwulf, raam, arbiter, and eyedoll.
As long as I like Killer Instinct, I don’t want a Season 4.
Let’s be real: a new season means new funds from Microsoft to be realize and, at this point, I don’t think Microsoft wants to support KI more after the release of Definitive Edition.
Maybe we can have new contents or something from IG, but that’s all…
I don’t want a new season with lesser stages, goofy animations for ultimates as stage ultra (worst addition in KI, for me), questionable guests, fragmented story mode and so on.
I think that we need to enjoy KI as a complete game, by now, after more then 3 years and wait for a Killer Instinct 2 (or 4) with a new layer of content.
And I hope that they realize an almost complete game since day 1.
The season idea works, but it’s better to release a game with a lot of content since the beginning for me.
chronologically speaking, SFV happens BEFORE SFIV.
Street Fighter has one of the most confuse storylines ever.

It doesn’t matter. If I’m a Sagat fan, I main him from SFII, and then I can’t play him in SFV, I’m dissapointed
That would apply to a KI sequel. Someone would not make it, it happens in all Fighting games. And fans of those characters would be dissapointed
No it doesn’t it’s after sf4 and before sf5 how else would everyone no juri, Abel, and declare. It takes place before sf3 is end of the story.

We don’t have any direct statement from MS on this but I think the evidence suggests the opposite. ShadowLords is a highly expandable mode - and expansions and additions can be both small or large. They are directly engaged in surveys of the community and combat balances, asking about merchandising, etc. I think all signs point to very likely continued support for the game.
At the risk of repeating myself, I have a hard time people saying MS is done with this game, while thinking they would go for a sequel. Why would they abandon this game as unprofitable and then invest in a sequel?

i support season 4 and seasons forever. the game is perfect. it doesn’t need graphical upgrade. no sequel for now. sequel in ten years maybe
and yes 8 characters every year is not so many match ups to learn. its only 8*x (x= the number of your mains). anyway i don’t believe in match ups. ki is about rhythm. new characters is ki fresh water. always thirsty and waiting what new (fantastic) mechanics and designs they will add.
the day this game ends will be a bad day for fighting games.

not gonna lie. KI looks very good when im using my glasses. THANK GOD for the lighting overhaul. Season 4 is most likely the next thing but please make good use of the budget like bringing more content, new features, yada, yada…
I guess Joanna Dark are more than welcome at least by 50% of the community as one last guest for this game due to the rareware stuff and she would turn into an awesome gun-kata fighter for KI. She’s a beautiful english girl she deserve her place among the KI fighters. She and more 3 characters that’s enough.
Bring the missing stages for Mira, Eyedol, Rash… You can give us an EVO stage if you wish. Bring all stuff from the past and leave KI more than complete with every feature it has someday like ultimate combo & no-mercy.
I dont want to see new characters with mixed movesets from previous fighters.
