Currently, they have exactly 100 more donations than us.
I think Brandon was saying let’s donate collectively and not wait on his 10k max donation. He also stated in another tweet that he plans on dropping his 10k on the last day. A lot of folks will be donating a large amounts at the end.
When you shared why you haven’t donated yet, I just wanted to point out that a lot of people in our community may not have donated yet for the same reasons, which doesnt give our community momentum to get more folks on board. And can give our naysayers more reasons to post more “KI is dead” posts vs “look at the KI community come together” posts.
Well, like the sucker I am, I dropped in $200. Anyone know if they are going to provide confirmation of our donations to Make a Wish? Those would be tax deductible, but a credit card statement identifying IndieGoGo isn’t going to cut it for the IRS.

Technically we’re in the lead if you count what brandon is going to add. Though I’m sure the other games will also have last minute large donations.
Ok! This is what me and bakafree was getting at. I’m so glad someone here is at least trying and not giving up so easily. We plan to donate. I’m liking these post especially about people losing hope. Honestly Brandon’s efforts are going to not measure up if we don’t chip in a little bit this week; right now we’re 5 to 6,000 short. That’s a lot of catching up. I also liked the idea of “money bombs” not sure who came up with it but this week could use one. I also feel we should post on Xbox forums and maybe neogaf? Idk the point is I want to try before throwing in the towel.

Lol. That’s what I’m trying to figure out as well. I don’t know if printing out the email confirmation is enough for the IRS.
By the way. We’re getting a bit of momentum today folks compared to stagnant yesterday. Anything you can contribute helps. I’d love see our overall donors grow as much as dollars.
I won’t give up as well. It’s just that some of us are waiting for tax money to come in

Definitely wish I had the funds to contribute more. I donated $20 and probably will donate the same thing closer to the deadline.

Who actually decides the main EVO lineup? Do they have deals in place with other companies to guarantee them a spot or is it based on who the organisers thinks deserves a spot?
People could stream KI more during this donation period. Not just playing the game, but doing other things, like drawing a KI char in the stream, for example. The MvC community isn’t streaming their game so often, and I think it’s an opportunity to gain more donations.

I have another trollish idea.
I will be the first to mentally concede to this vote. I don’t think KI is going to make it guys.
But we could be an influential variable when it comes to the actual winner and still donate to a good cause. I’m hearing that Pokken is actually creeping up to MvC3 right now.
So we have two options:
- We could be good little boys and girls and vote collectively to get MvC3 into the 9th spot. The FGC will rejoice because the status quo will remain unchanged and MvC3 will get its swan song to transition into Marvel Infinite next year.
or
- We can do a full on heel turn, à la Hollywood Hogan, and vote in Pokken to beat Mahvel!

I’m still a little salty about Pokken’s timeslot hogging w/ their forever-finals last year, but I actually really like this idea. It’s all a corporate game of money and adspace anyway, right?
I also really like the idea of pushing an unofficial campaign to get the hardcore and alt-right to donate (even non-gamers) based on KI’s American heritage.
I honestly can’t believe it’s not repped at EVO just because it’s the home team, and NRS games only ever last 2 years anyway.

Sorry, I can’t sign up for throwing money at any other game except KI.
Marvel’s had plenty of time and I believe KI deserves a spot far more than Pokken.
I get the idea that it would be amusing to pull the rug out from under MVC3 but I believe KI has a good chance to win, and I will not “spite vote” against KI.

I think we should use hashtags like makeamericagreatagain and I don’t know, stuff like that to spread the word across twitter to “troll” people into donating for KI.
