Well I don’t know abiout you all but here was some reasons for why the ultimates, stated by Mr. Tempus himself

Use of the word censorship IRT ultimates is not appropriate. Censorship would imply we changed something from an original version to an altered version in reaction to a post-creation inflence, which we’ve not done.

Ultimates were created to look as you see them.

As for the nostalgia factor

Nostalgia is a great thing, but we can’t lean too heavily on it, especially for a series that was dormant for 20 years.
