No. What I mean is: Everyone said they would pay for ultimates before ultimates were annoucned and were free.
Now people are saying they would rather pay for (more) ultimates because they don’t like the current ones…

Because this is the artistic direction the designers chose. They wanted to make character deaths ambiguous to the player. It’s a stylistic choice that I think works well in most cases (Sadira’s and Riptor’s don’t do that very well to me, it’s hard to honestly say the character isn’t dead after that interaction) and if you don’t like it that’s fine.
Also, can we not go off topic and start talking about optional gold skins can do not deserve any more discussion?

Keep in mind standards in ratings have changed over the years. What may have been okay back then might not be the same today.

I do not care whether free or paid. I want quality. If free means low quality, then I’d rather pay.

Much like with the other ultimates, after watching Riptors ultimate 5 or 6 times, it starts to become more acceptable, understandable, and maybe even a little “cute”.
But I never had to do this in Season 2.
Everything was immediately hype.
(All the ultras, for example)

I assume so, there is only one way to find out.
But the devs said the system is not designed for
it- so i dont know what to say.
In the long run:
You can’t please everybody.
So what I want, from the devs: Is to follow their hearts.
And not give a hoot about what we say.
Yes yes, feedback is important but at the end of the day. It’s their project.
And I don’t want any sticks in the mud to prevent the from putting their hearts into it.

They’re not. “Censored” would imply they initally made a more extreme version and then had to tone it down (See MKvDC Joker’s Bang! gun fatality). But here, there never was a more extreme version. The Ultimates were purposefully made this way. Censorship isn’t a factor here.

Jago’s ultimate is ambiguous yet manages to be KI1 brutal, that’s what I’m saying. Why couldn’t the rest be that way?

Ultimates aren’t Ultras or Fatalities, They actually were never hype or that entertaining, they were meant to be 1 or 2 hit kills/animations actually…
I think the word “Ultimate” is misleading people to believe these should be upgrade to Ultras, super hype, they were actually more goofy than anything else…
