That’s because that’s extra content. If Shago’s ultimate comes with him, it’s probably the same for everyone else.
Though I wouldn’t be surprised if we have to unlock them in-game.

Some may just be super salty about the Kilgore community fund thing.
Others think it’s because it isn’t part of the season 3.
Only way to know is when the devs tell us. But I’d rather not let that spoil the fun right now until later down the road. lol

But it’s enterely optional, you don’t have to buy it to enjoy the game.
You don’t need rings or jewels to dress yourself, but if you like them, they are obviously not free when buying a t-shirt
Skins/colors are optional extras, and it’s your decision to take them or not.
Also, this is a F2P game. Some people seems to forget that

even though it was meat to be the worlds most generous demo, that’s true. You don’t have to buy the skins if you don’t want to, they are optional.
Not only that but things like mimic skins, Shadows, etc. can be bought with KI Gold and you get 600 for free each week.
Maybe it’s the fact people still feel the burnout from the Kilgore community fund perhaps?
Yeah I could see Ultimates being unlocks in Shadow Lords.
I was more thinking along the lines of having the character at level 50.

Can we get an answer about how we’ll be able to obtain these Ultimates? it might be raising serious concerns.
Though if you ask me, I think as of right now, we may just be getting Ultimates as an update but who knows.
Given that Shago’s came with him, it’s entirely possible that these will be free. I could see them saying at KIWC “Ultimates are going live in 3.7” or whatever number it’ll be on in March. I was under the impression that 3.7 was coming in March, but can’t recall for certain.
I could also see them including ultimates in skin packs. Ya know, buy a pack of three new skins for TJ, Omen and Arbiter and get their Ultimates, all for $5. Of course, I could also see them thinking “we’re giving you more value for your money,” and also having that totally blowing up in their faces as people balk at the idea of paying money for fatalities.
Then again, I could also see them announcing at KIWC that the first batch of Ultimates are done and they’re on sale now. Not show how many would be in a pack, maybe they sell them by season. Maybe they sell the first five or even the first three. Guessing the price would be $5 no matter what.
Tough to say one way or the other, but the key thing to remember here is that all of this stuff isn’t part of a season and they need to be paid for the work that they do. So long as the price isn’t punitive right off the bat, I’m fine with paying for more characters, stages, skins, accessories, ultimates, etc. If it costs these people time and effort to make something, then I have to be prepared to compensate them if I want that content.
So yeah, I’ll be curious how these are doled out, as I can honestly see it going in pretty much any direction.
In this instance I can see why, in that case I’m gonna start saving up so I can buy them. Just in case!

I do not mind paying for ultimates. We finally got something most we’re asking for- you’re darn skippy I will support the decision to finally make KI what it truly is
As said before, if the devs aren’t releasing a season which normally cost a specific amount,
We need to support and pay them for their work. I will pay for costumes / stages / ultimates YES
It’s no different than fight money for SFV. I do NOT want to grind matches for 70000 fm so I will pay 5.99 for a beautiful stage!

Not really no. It’s where I can see someone being eaten. The greedy snake does it, anaconda does it, and attack on Titan does it. Those are the ones that make me cringe.

I prefer costumes, colors and accessories over Ultimates. In fact, I didn’t vote for ultimates in the survey

Since Tempus mentioned Maya as one of his favorites, in my mind that tells me everybody’s getting one.
And for three seasons straight that’s what we have been getting as a package. Look on the bright side though, in the polls they’re one of the top three along side Ultimates in skins. I’m pretty sure the devs are gonna give us some of that to.
All things considerd, I’m really optimistic about the idea of the devs answering our feedback from the polls. I just hope the accessories this time will be something really interesting. I’d actually like some dragon accessories for Riptor this time. I’m not expecting wings, but it’d be cool to hit some horns and spikes and stuff. Or better yet, a Lich or skeletal Riptor would be awesome! with eye colors and claws changing based on the costume color.

Because I can always custom my character with colors, accessories and costumes, but I will barely use ultimates.
I’m not always going to win by supreme victory, and even then, 95% of the time I will go into Ultra-ultra ender to get another match quickly

Indeed we all have preferences. I can get behind the idea of customizing, but if the accessories don’t appeal to me, I won’t be using them, though every match I’ll be trying to take every chance I get for an Ultimate.
Personally I’m excited in general for how the polls results are being handled here. Which if anything can’t wait to see the accessory once Ultimates come into full fruition
