I can understand that but if IG had worded things differently maybe it wouldn’t be like this. Who knows at the end it may as well all be speculation. Some soruces based on tweeks from one dev claim that maybe we’re taking it too hard and they got something planned yet the stream wording claims no Ultimates will ever be possible. Way too much conflicting to begin with. Besides it’s not like the new upcoming shiny mechanics in S3 are not being discussed enough ways.
A fundraiser for Ultimates is a serious slap in the face!! I’m upset this is even being mentioned. How about a fundraiser for a M rated version of KI? That makes more sense. I’m offended by this!
Haha! I had a friend on the xbox.com forums that always used the phrase “like a slap in the face” and she got a lot of hype from others as a result that ultimately turned into great discussion and conversation starters. Thanks for bringing back good memories.

Well as opposed to Ultimates, which may STILL have a chance, M rating doesn’t expect to change KI. But this is not a topic abou discussing the rating system.
Like others have said…we REALLY shouldn’t have to do this but I would in a heartbeat. That’s how bad I want Ultimates…heck Id do the same thing for fixed and/or new S1 retro costumes for that matter…
For most other games I wouldn’t do this but this is Killer Instinct, one of my favorite games of all time. I would definitely join in if IG does ultimates for all characters.
Wow. Nothing surprises me on here. Whatever happened to gamers first? Now I see why alot of publishers are getting away with Microtransactions, and making half ■■■ games and then charging our eyeballs out for dlc thats barely a Gig. It’s whatever do what y’all like. I’m in the minority anyway.
Then how about you suggest how folks can convince them to ACTUALLY do the Ultimates then?
This topic wouldn’t even be a thing if there was some form of reassurance that Ultimates would be for everyone. Thus folks are desperate.
BTW to anyone who even brings up the other stuff like characters, stages and so on in S3, don’t even. We know that’s important but that stuff is coming anyhow. It’s really a question whether Ultimates will be done at all, whether during or after season3.

First, they must want to include them, and then they must be able to.
We wanted Ultimates for S2 as bad as we want them for S3. Yet we didn’t get them, for whatever reasons.
We wanted stage Ultras, so we got five of them. The quality of each, I will not comment. Matter of tastes.
Five Ultras out of eight stages, and no new Ultras for S1 stages. Not bad.
But Ultimates have to be for every character. That’s 27 Ultimates counting S3.
It’s the same for every other feature. 27 new (alternate) intros, 27 new (alternate) outros, 27 ultimates, 27 stage Ultras, 27 Humiliations, 27 alternate Ultra Combos…
What else is going to be axed/not included? I fear none of the above will make the cut.
S3 will probably have 9 new chars, 9 new stages, extended story mode, and that’s it. No new “flavor” content.

I’m really that hyped for season 3 anyhow. So, pretty much.
I said that more to emphasize that a fundraiser won’t change anything more than my opinion on what IG should be focusing on.
TBH, I’d rather have Stage Ultras than Ultimates because I won’t see them as often and thus not get sick of seeing them.

There’s a simmering debate here on whether we “should have to” provide funds above and beyond the price of the game for something we want. I think we could get mired in that forever without anything productive.
However, something else to keep in mind is that a community fund can pay for work, but it isn’t going to add staff or staff time to IG to get it done. This is why Shago went into the queue for the end of this year. They already had stuff lined up that they needed to get done first (like Rash, apparently). So, even if there is an Ultimate community fund we shouldn’t expect to see it result in actual ultimates until after the planned S3 is completed.

Ig deserve every single penny from us if they bring ultimates and messatsu (i mean annihilation) for all the characters of this game. Do it IG! Let’s make this KI an amazing fighting game.

Why an annihilation for everyone? It would be a nerf for Shago by buffing everyone else.

definatley NO annilation, even if Shago had drawbacks to it, it does not justify everyone else having one. Plus most people will use rely on that too much and there would be no point in fleshing out a characte’rs Instinct mode.
That being said if a community fund is required to get Ultimates I’d be happy to contribute.
