Tusk's face

Think the face is the last thing they work on.

Who knows, meh.

There are definitely people complaining. May not be Kim levels but itā€™s there.

My feelings when people are complaining that an immortal Viking barbarian that has been alive for 500+ years looks a fair bit older than how he looked 20 years ago in a game that was set in the distant time traveled past

Because itā€™s a contradiction.
If you want him to look his age weā€™d have another Kan Ra. If he doesnā€™t age, then why does he look so old? He ought to look like heā€™s in his prime.
Also, he should look young just so he can remain faithful to his original concept.

And what is his prime? Youth is not the extent of a persons potential. He looks old enough to be wise and experience but young enough to swing that sword like a stick. Being in your prime is the height of your maturity and power before the slow decay of aging takes its effect.

Imo he literally looks like a slightly older Thor that skipped a few beard shavings too many

Lets also point out that we donā€™t know why heā€™s immortal yet. Like gifts of immortality in other media (most recently, Forever the TV series), if they get it at a certain age, they tend to stay that age or age very slowly over a long period of time. Thereā€™s gonna be a way they rope in his look with his story, wait for it.

Hmm honestly Iā€™ve never pictured Tusk young at all since KI2 tbh.

I feel it makes a lot of sense that he is indeed a survivor and is immortal (hence the beard) to have him to probably be in his late 30ā€™s or just have his age unknown.

Another great example is Thunder

With this KI classic look he appears to look as though he is young, but apparently heā€™s in his 40ā€™s

His current look still looks like heā€™s in his late 30ā€™s right? But apparently (and correct me if iā€™m wrong btw) Heā€™s around in his 40ā€™s in this reboot as well.

I never really had a problem with Kimā€™s face. I have more problems with Tusk.

Well some people can look pretty young for their age.

I actually really like Tuskā€™s face. More than I expected I would. It just seems so burly, so weathered, so ANGRY.
I swear, his expression in his end pose (which so many people have taken negatively) almost matches Sabrewulf for sheer ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  off ferocity. His teeth bared in a twisted snarl, his eyes set ablaze and set to killā€¦ YOUā€¦ TO DEATH

Everything about his character reminds me of a bear.
In his natural state, he appears somber and world wearyā€¦

But if you awaken the sleeping beastā€¦

you will be the focus of his wrath.

The Tusk we got is MUCH more satisfying to me than the Tusk I was expecting. I just expected to have the long haired love-child of Fabio and Schwarzenegger whoā€™d occasionally DAH for the nostalgia when he was first hinted at, because thatā€™s what a lot of people were expecting. Instead, I got myself a massive, Ultra-Greatsword wielding mountain of a man adorned with a heritage matching my own, Nordic and Celtic influence abound, whoā€™s face is probably the most expressive Iā€™ve seen in the cast. Why? Because when he gets good and ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  or heā€™s exerting himself to his breaking point in a battle to the death, his face shows it. It gets gnarled and horrifying and brutal, just like his fighting style and just like the character I always wished I could see.
I donā€™t want my barbarian to be handsome, with a pretty face and a soothing voice. I like my Tusk to be a savage, ruthless entity of undying rage and power, who no longer feels kinship from humanity. Heā€™s a man of war, and he should keep the appearance of a man -neigh, a god among men- whoā€™s seen next nothing but death and dismemberment for thousands of years. Heā€™s honed himself for a singular purpose: To fight and to kill (more than likely hunting for Gargos, the only being in the universe that can match his power). No fear of death, no second thoughts, no love lostā€¦

It may be an unpopular opinion, and Iā€™m happy to agree to disagree with anyone who differs from it. But god ā– ā– ā– ā–  itā€™s nice to see a barbarian who cam actually lookā€¦well, barbaric.

u are totally wrong on these cause his face is showed and thats just GODLIKE face hes cute ASF! !!! OMG

as u see hes well cutiest than kim wu!!! OMG

It seems there is a graphical problem with Tuskā€™s face. Especially heā€™s eyes! Iron Galaxy you really need to do something about this. With Kim Wu everything is okay but with Tusk it seems to be a graphical issue.

have to be .wip

That 1995 thunder was sooooooo badass

This. And this is almost a crime. Conan > all.

Not quite pleased by the face (but Kim Wu face was cool), but the general feeling i have when I see him is that he feel rushed. Look when heā€™s facing the arbiter, this is plainly ridiculous. I hope devs will really work on him before the release because at this day, itā€™s the more disapointing character i saw for the three seasons.

Two are cool. Hell, I think i prefer ā€œAlexā€ Thunder.

But new tuskā€¦ Meh. Hope they will not scre the retro costume and give us the barbarian I want to see.

Well thatā€™s not necessarily true. For one, how do you know he was blessed with immortality when he was in his prime of youth. He couLldā€™ve been given the gift when he was middle aged and never aged any further. Is that not plausible as well? @RTA07 I agree I always pictured Tusk to be around the same age as the Chief, maybe a tad younger.

Well all due respect, but this comes across as another ā€œItā€™s bad b/c itā€™s different than what I was expecting/wanted,ā€ and not because whatā€™s actually there is bad. Different doesnā€™t mean good or bad, it just means different. He may look like a different person but thatā€™s okay. Thereā€™s more than one way to maintain a characters identity beyond simply making him look just like he did in the past, just ask Glacius. I made a similar point regarding Kimā€™s design back on the S2 forums, keeping him too similar to the original by giving him darker skin and a younger face would clash way too hard with his retro. Be that as it may, Iā€™m with you on the face. Iā€™m not normally one to gripe about such things but his face doesnā€™t look finished. With that said, Iā€™d hardly say Tusk needs saving, he just needs some more work put into him. Iā€™m sure thereā€™s still more to be done.

Given how rash looks, we have nothing to worry about.

He was the first to be Revealed and now he looks CLEAN. The same can be said for Arbiter, which I assume took priority over Kim Wu. Tusk is probably the latest of the characters so im not worried.

I flat out said he doesnā€™t look bad. But what I was expecting was Tuskā€¦ You think thatā€™s asking too much? Not the old Tusk. I knew he would be different in many ways. That wasnā€™t the problem. I thought he was perfect in the teaser. But his face is the face of ā€˜not Tuskā€™.
They could have made him recognizable. Kim Wu is a perfect example of a character that was changed completely, yet still completely recognizable as Kim Wu. Iā€™m sad that Tusk didnā€™t get the same love.
