I’ll do regular matches, I think, as Infil and others have suggested.
There is no trick to it. And by extension, there is no trick to being good at anything. Geek, the only thing that makes people better is practice.
I’m not you. You’re not me. All i can offer is advice. And for me? I’ve ground ranked since i picked up this game early in S3. I have virtually NO experience if i compare it to anyone playing since S1, yet people believe my play is fairly decent. I get my ■■■ whupped constantly, consistently and convincingly every time. I still know practicing is only going to help.
You just played a game against me with your Thunder in ranked that i recorded that might help you out. It’s your call if you want me to link it here.
You have my permission to do so, although I’d be surprised if anyone mentions something I don’t already know. Still, who knows? Plus, it’ll probably help you too.
Man, 2 days without seeing the Forums, and the Replay Thread blows up again. Lol
Did it? I hadn’t noticed.
Don’t wake up meterless dp with Thunder. Just don’t. Your opponent didn’t capitalize on it but Thunder’s meterless dp loses to lows. Wake up block is the best wake up option that no one uses.
I appreciate the advice, but I was prioritizing learning the DP for consistency’s sake - whether it hit or not did not matter to me, only that I did the move successfully at all. Besides, I spent a good deal of time keeping my distance after wake-up to use Thunder’s considerable reach to my advantage for potential punishes.
Alright, consider me officially annoyed. Being in a set with someone else who’s respectfully asked me for a set isn’t making excuses or “passing you up”, and as I recall I sent you an invite when I was done and you’d already hopped off.
But fine. My parents fly out early on Friday, and I’ve got nothing concrete planned after they leave. Pick a time after noon and I will happily stomp you into the ground for as long as you like. You will be muted though, because I don’t want to hear your whining as you lose.
Fair enough.
Shots fired. Things went from level 10 to level 99 really quickly.
You would think this stuff would be in the GG’s thread. guess not. oh well, more drama.
Me whine? I do not whine! I make bold, declarative statements of what I have observed! ![]()
I look forward to our set, malice be damned. Although, my sleeping habits have been pretty bad as of late (waking up or sleeping through midday, and being up all night), and that’s a simple and honest truth.
I’ll be practicing until then.
Remember to use firecracker ender when the kill is guaranteed. You had two such scenarios in the matches versus Geek. You also had the right idea about shadow countering that triplax pressure. It doesn’t matter if you’re shadow countering early on that move, so just be a little quicker with it next time and you’ll be golden. ![]()
EDIT: @GalacticGeek - give me the time on Friday that you want and we’ll go with that. I’ll play for as long as you care to run. So as not to further clutter this thread, feel free to post the time in the GG’s thread or in a DM.
Is this grudge match going to be a pay-per-view? I feel like it should be a pay-per-view.
I haven’t been off-topic - I asked for help with DPs and told everyone so they could analyze my situation, and offer advice. Then Sneer was kind enough to ask me for permission before sharing a ranked set we had, so that we both can learn from the experience. While my mention of you wasn’t the nicest thing to say, I admit, you didn’t need to respond to it, but ultimately you chose to do so. It appears we are all victims of our own feelings.
I wish you no ill will, and I sincerely hope you’ll do the same for me (and not carry such malice into our bout on Friday, which BTW, will be whenever I wake up).
In general, there are very few things that leave me at a loss for words. That you manage to do so on a near-weekly basis is actually kind of impressive. ![]()
See you on Friday.
You know the feeling you have after Thanksgiving dinner? That REALLY full feeling where you just kinda roll out of your chair, instead of walk? Where you might not eat for a full day after?
That’s me on advice right now. I’m so loaded, that whole set that i recorded was advice fighting instinct lol. I just need more training time. @STORM179, i’ll take your advice here too, but i’m going the opposite of what Oliver Twist told the guy with the ladle.
And if you don’t know what i’m talking about, read a book. ![]()
Lol. What is “Please sir, I want some more.” ![]()
No sweat though - nothing wrong with not trying to overload on advice at any given time. I shall shut my mouth on any further advice until you expressly ask for it. ![]()
I’m open to advice regarding the above video, though! ![]()
I come back to a replay analysis thread and see drama? Hmm.
