Zeku, the Ever-Changing Ninja, infiltrates Street Fighter V on October 24!

“Zeku, the last character in Season 2, will officially leap into Street Fighter V on October 24! Learn more about the Ever-Changing after the jump.

First seen in Street Fighter Alpha 2, Zeku was Guy’s former teacher, who taught him to master Bushinryu, a style of ninjutsu. Eventually, Guy was able to obtain the title of 39th Master of Bushinryu. Zeku then disappeared and was never seen again…until now! Zeku has reappeared looking to start his own ninja group and find a new fighting style.

For players who want to learn the art of Zeku, it will require intense training to hone his multiple skill sets due to his ability to transform. His older self has slower moves and a special flip in the air, which can be followed up with different options to keep the opponent guessing. His younger self is quicker and has a short run, which can also open up opponents.

V-Skill: Fukuro (Older Self), Tenpo Kari (Younger Self)

Zeku performs a special technique that transforms him to his younger self, completely changing his move set. He can then use Tenpo Kari to transform back. Depending on the directional input you press after the V-Skill connects, Zeku will teleport either in front or behind the opponent.

V-Trigger: Bushinryu Shinge Kiko

Allows Zeku to perform a single special dash that can be followed up with a custom combo that deals additional hits. Both forms have the same V-Trigger.

Critical Art: Batsuzan Gaisei

Upon kicking the opponent in the air, Zeku follows up with a flurry of strikes while switching forms before stomping them into the ground. Zeku’s Critical Art is the same for both forms.

The Season 2 Character Pass is available for $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99 and will grant pass holders with Akuma, Kolin, Ed, Abigail, Menat, and Zeku! The pass includes Premium Battle Costumes with colors 3-10 unlocked and default costume colors 3-10 for each character. Season 2 Character Pass holders will also receive an exclusive PS4 theme!”

Interesting…so like Eyedol but the ability to manually change. I like it.

Without the randomness, yes. I wish Eyedol only changed manually and not at random.

me too! Eyedol is like my #3 right now but the randomness some times make me not want to pick him in higher level matches. Most of the time the change just happens at the worst time.

To be fair, that would make him overpowered if that happened

But on topic I’ll admit Zeku is pretty cool

So I played a few matches to win some fight money challenges tonight… took a look at costumes and I have to say there are some really bad asssss looking costumes in the game. Especially the Halloween costumes. Too expensive but they do look great. I really wish KI would have taken a large costume route but with good prices.

I finally feel like playing Birdie again, now that he looks like his old self once more.

Is this a mod or an official skin?

Official retro costume DLC. ^^

Eh… I’m probably the only one here who prefers fat birdie but that’s for another, more personal reason.

Looks cool though.

What I don’t like about Birdie’s main look in SFV isn’t just that he is fat, but rather that they changed him from being this badass Brit punk into a stupid clown character.

He was a tough, careless criminal who was hired by Shadaloo to do some dirtywork, and his top-heavy appearance kinda gave him a menacing look, like “don’t f### with me or I’ll beat you to a bloody pulp!” kinda attitude.

Now he’s a joke, just some stupid ape who eats all the time. It’s like they took one aspect of his character and made him ALL about that one thing, stripping him from all other personality.

There are fat characters who are awesome, like Honda and Bob from Tekken, because they aren’t just about being fat. And seeing that Birdie, one of my favourite characters from the Alpha series, being diminished into a fat joke… that just plain sucked.

But now with his retro outfit, I feel like giving him another chance. I know it might seem silly to some of you, but character aesthetics means a lot to me.

Btw, I’m curious to know what your reason is, if you don’t mind sharing.

No I’m glad peeps are getting there wishes granted for buff birdie to come back.

I just like the fat one better. I’m in the minority when I say that though.

I’m with you there!

Nah, that’s pretty common. If a character’s look isn’t cool or interesting to me then I won’t play them, regardless of how their play style would otherwise fit with me.

That is a double-edged sword. If all the characters are badass, then I must play all of them.

So I just found out Cammy’s Cannon Strikes are not Overheads…

Now way back when I thought were… it made since to me Capcom removed the ability to Tiger Knee Motion her Cannon Strike like you could in US IV… after all an Instant unreactable overhead for Cammy would seem like overkill considering the rest of the cast had Reactable ones. So the Height Restrictions in SFV made sense.

But now that I know that its not an Overhead (or a “mid” according to the Attack Data) then what would be so bad about letting Cammy Spam Cannon Strikes 2 feet off the ground… you know… other than the fact that it would really freaking annoying ?
