Honestly, I’m a tad disappointed that It’s not coming to Switch (yet) and Link’s not returning as a guest (yet)…
…but then again this is just the first trailer and like with many things a switch port may come later.
…yeah, I’ve never really been much into the Soul Calibur series, but I played the crap out of 2 thanks to Link and the Weapon Master mode (I think that’s what It’s called.)
What can I say? Appealing guest character is appealing.

I just hope that they simplify the character movesets. I’m sorry but the later installments in the series after SC2 gave characters 80+ moves apiece to memorize…
Also, I’m sorry enhanced boob physics is NOT an option.

Actually, I’ve been an Ivy main since the original SC.
I just want there to be more to her than just how bodacious her breasts are. I still feel SC2 version of Ivy is the best.
They were severely simplified in SCV, especially Ivy’s. She no longer had the several stances and such in that game.

I’m kinda bothered how the detail in costumes is impeccable (you see crisp edges ) but his fingers only have fuzzy pixelated shading to suggest nails.

It did kinda feel like Namco split Sophitia in two and named one half Cassandra when she was introduced, both aesthetically and gameplay-wise. Hence why I’ve never been a fan of Cassandra… y’know, me and “clone” characters…
Yes I know- no clones lol unless I make male/female versions in create a soul. I loved my male ivy / viola clones in sc4/5

Huh. They’re literally taking bits from every Soul Calibur game it seems. The sword designs from SCII, character designs from SCI, and just some cutscenes from both III and V if the trailer means anything.
I liked the sword designs in IV the best.
Oh and at first I thought the effects meant something special for the characters but then I realized it’s just the traditional lightning and unblockable fire moves lol.
I love Taki’s main costume, but I don’t like it when they leave out her mask. So I hope she will wear her mask with her bodysuit this time around. My favourite look for her was in SC1 actually, so the chance of it returning seems to be high, considering Mitsurugi and Sophitia both have their SC1 costumes.
Who do you guys think will be the Xbox guest character? Hope they get Shadow Jago just because his blade looks sick.
Not sure they will do console exclusive guest characters. Most likely just be one for all platforms.

I feel Xbox will either take a major character from Gears or Halo, or they’ll pick a KI character to please Xbox fg fans. If they do console exclusives, my bet is Arbiter, Atriox/Tartarus, Skorge, Spinal, or Jago.
