I don’t think that that is a factor at all. He’s a character people seam to want and would probably sell DLC, one picture buried in create a soul can easily be changed for an actual character portrait once released. They could have just done that as a time-saver because they decided on Hwang as DLC rather late compared to other characters, if you want a reason. Honestly, this somehow preventing the inclusion of a character seams silly to me. It’s just a picture.
I do understand where you’re coming from, I think. You’re thinking that if they were using Hwang, he’d have a new design in the mode. But there are a million reasons why he possibly couldn’t. Especially if he’s part of a second wave of DLC, which they are probably only deciding on now based on fan reactions (ala Lei and Anna)
yeah, I am trying to learn other characters’ moves to know how to counter them in Practice mode. Almost each character I try out, I want to continue using. KI gave me a similar feeling of being excited to touch each and every character. Wish there was the " spend 1000 minutes in Practice mode challenge" 
Never played Nier but mainly because I never was a fan of the artistic style. Might need to reconsider.

Well at least she’s not exclusive to one specific system, that’s one hundred bullets dodged right then and there. But even then, many of those fans probably don’t care for fighting games so it won’t be all of them driving us crazy.
I can see that happening, since they did confirm Tekken 7’s Season Pass 2 will have more than 2 legacy characters. The question is who will be guests in SC6 now? Either they put a character from something they own (Dark Souls, Tales series, etc.) or they go make another crazy pick from left field, like a Monster Hunter character or Duckman Drake from the Timesplitters series (The Walking Dead’s Negan is in Tekken 7, I’ll believe anything at this point).
If they go Dark Souls, I personally think Solaire or Artorias will be their picks since they’re the most popular (then again, they would probably put Patches instead).

That’s making me nervous for Aeon’s fate as well.
I have a couple options. I could see them saving Zorro for S2 (The Negan of the season). Artorias is so safe that he’s both really likely and something I really don’t want. Especially sense 2B is PlatinumGames best game currently, how great would it be if the other 2 were Dante and Bayonetta. PlatinumGames All Stars!
Yeah, that was a really fun time. Had the cleanup crew kick us out

I think the thing that most got me was just how ambitious and batcrap crazy some of its ideas were. Like, the game has several moments where I LITERALLY cannot think of another game that had a similar section or moment, and that’s very impressive to me. Not everything always lands, and I particularly think the OST is overrated, but overall the game is polished and inventive in a way not seen too often these days.

Yeah, Nier is an amazing game I think everyone should play. I’ve played it, and I can’t say anything bad about it. 2b’s inclusion into Soulcalibur is amazing, and I think she fits amazingly well. Looking forward to playing her

I would like to point out that Amy and Edgemaster are also in this mode with full designs attached to them.
Edgemaster is debatable because this could have just been imported from SCV. Not a lot to take away from that.
Amy, however, is wearing a dress that is completely new and is not currently available for use to my knowledge. The roses on the sides are similar to the ones Viola had on her attire.
This cannot be ignored. So maybe they had time for one character. I don’t really know, but what I do know is that I want Yun-seong and he doesn’t even have a picture. 
Have gotten the chance to delve deeper into Libra of Souls now. I was able to change my equipment out just like you guys said, so guessing the locked down options were just for the intro. The fights are still way too easy, but I’m having fun exploring the world and getting all the lore and such. Mode would be about perfect if the fighting were a bit more demanding, but as it is I’m pretty pleased with it.
So far I have played SFV 35 hours in two years, and SCVI 55 hours in two weeks.

I have the game working on my XboxOneX. It’s not my ideal setup and I worry about display lag in my 4K tv, but oh well.
Playing a lot of ranked with Siegfried, and I admit I am somewhat frustrated. So many times I lose to people just spamming two hit quick attacks up close that I fail to guard impact just because the guard impact is so inconsistent. And I have no other options since Siegfried is pretty much negative all the time. Other times I annihilate people just with simple mixups high low which o know are very very difficult to react to. So I don’t necessarily feel like I’m learning a whole lot or getting better.
Also, sadly but predictably I’m running into a cool create a soul 1/10 times. Then 8 times it’s a variation of “girl in bikini” such as “girl in bikini with horns” or “girl in bikini with cat tail” or my favorite “girl in bikini with horns and cat tail!” Then the final 1/10 it’s some nozzle who is an all black formless figure surrounded with junk (like turtle shells) that is there simply to obscure animations.
