Thereās going to be backlash regardless of what character it is. The question remains howmuch will there be. I doubt not very much. The minority will have the bakclash, which will be overshadowed in the long run anyway.

Yeah, any chance @developers might be willing to confirm if season 3 is, in fact the final season for this iteration of KI?
I have to be honest, after filling out the survey, I was really looking forward to season 4, but if you guys have other plans in mind, Iād be curious to know anything else youād be willing/able to tell us.
They wonāt do that because it would mean many would jump ship.
So ,what was that survey all about?
Although it is called āKiller Instinct Definitive Editionā, it does say on the page:
āKiller Instinct: Definitive Edition includes all 26 characters and 20 stages from Seasons 1-3ā
That possibly means that it is just the definitive version of seasons 1-3, not counting a potential season 4. So if they release another season afterward, this disc version will still technically be the definitive version of seasons 1-3. I would be rather disappointed if this was the final season, especially since the survey all but confirmed another one. (Though, it might have been about a sequel, but I highly doubt that.) If season 3 is not the final one, season 4 will probably be.

I hope that it is and that they take a couple of months to a year break so that we can get a nice rebooted version in a new engine for the Xbox Scorpio launch next year. The game is starting to show itās age and just slapping on more mechanics on top of the old ground work is becoming weird.
Game has been a huge success and was a great rebirth of an old series that was thought dead. Still looking forward to the rest of the season 3 content thatāll come out this year

With a new KI, we can get the newest graphic engine. Full 60fps with !080p to 4k resolution. Much better if you ask me my opinion.

Yeah, I know. Not even sure why I asked lol. I guess part of me was hoping theyād say āno, itās not the end,ā but that would basically soft confirm season 4, which they might not want to do for multiple reasons at this point.

I agree. This is exactly why i feel S3 should be the last season.!
True but they released a season 1&2 pack called what, āComplete editionā right? Whatever it was it sounded like the end of content for a minuet there, although this is looking pretty bleak for the future of our game.

PC already runs at 60fps at 4k, Xbone canāt anyways.
Scorpio/W10 and Crimson said new engine.

I would be fine with the game ending at 3 seasons and the next version being on the Scorpio. I think thatās the reason why we wonāt have Eyedol as the last character I think it would be better for him to emerge in the next game as a final boss and that way they could come up with a new plot of him coming from the astral plane or wherever he comes from and they could introduce new fighters along with the old to take on a bigger quest. Iām willing to bet that we will see the new KI at E3 next year

I think itās fairly obvious they will continue it in some way and revamp it in some way for the Scorpio launch. Iād go as far to say that itās a no-brainer. My hope is that they convert it to a new engine.
I sure hope they have a season 4, S3 was mediocre due to guests and lack of stages and a sequel will make everything start from scratch which is a bad idea at this point.
