So, how do you pronounce Mira?

Yeah meant she spoke Portuguese.

this was good

For once my Italian pronunciation is not wrong!!! haahah

Maya? Aria? Arias moves like alegro and crescendo are 100% Italian words.

My-ya

I say Maya > My-ya, Mira > Me-Rah and Aria > Ah-re-ah. I think you know how Italians pronunciate the R. :stuck_out_tongue:

mira means “you, look at this” in spanish

No, Mira is just “look”.

“You, look at this” would be written “Tu, mira (a) esto”

I said it that way so English speakers get a better context, I know it’s not literal. Soy español.

“mira” it would be “(you), look”. But you can not do verbs that way in English.

You realize that is redundant right?

Look is used the same way you just explained mira is used, “(you)look”.

Hence why mira is just simply “look”.

By the way, "soy Español " is grammatically incorrect as Español is a language not a race, you mean you are Latin, Latino or Latina or more specifically you would use the region you are from. No Latin people say “soy, Español”.

Unless, you know, he’s actually from Spain.

That could also be the case and if so I take back my latter statement but my first still stands.

Exactly. An example on why overanalyzing things leads to bizarre conclusions.

Actually, no. Nothing besides my ignorance that Español is used in Spain to say I am Spanish as in Latin America (where I am from) we say “Soy de España”.

Nothing was “bizarre” or over analyzed only corrected.

btw, where are the doritos?

Mira is a funny name. The word “mira” here in Brazil means aim. lol
Anyway, if you want to give a character a real brazilian name you call her Maíra. Ma - i - ra. Or Mayara. Yes an a could be missing for an accurate brazilian girl’s name.

Now i’ve noticed how those names sound kinda cute. I might give that name to my little dog.

Im spanish. i agree with you. My-rah sounds perfect
