That’s an insane over-reaction. Player 1 gets the choice so in your matches you can have whatever music you want. But if I like Cinder’s theme on Fulgore’s stage or Hisako’s on Spinal’s, I’m gonna do it. Its a level field of choice, and you should be more focused on your opponents strategy than the music playing the background. Ease up buddy, you might actually enjoy listening to mixed and matched stages and themes.

Gotta say I didn’t like being able to pick music until I saw it today. It’s an OPTION… but kinda nice to be able to do. Some of the songs worked surprisingly well on other stages.

The thing im really curious is how good the stage ultras react to the change in music.
While it’s nice that you can choose your music, I’m not fussed on the way it’s implemented.
Looks to cluttered.
Saying that the stage selects looks very nice.
Character select is sooo much better tho I don’t know bout having a silhouette on a dark background.
Either have the green mist across the bottom of the screen or stick the ki logo in there, so you can see a bit more.

Oh man, so much to talk about. I’ll try to keep it short.
Kim’s accessories allow for many cool combinations. I like most of them.
Rash’s are goofy as heck, fitting the character. Dat funky toad tho.
New character select screen is pretty dope. The 2D shadows probably helped in getting rid of the laggy cursor so I’m all for it. The entrance animations are super awesome and I didn’t expect anything like this at all.
Stage select got the much needed second row which is good.
The music select list might suffer from too much scrolling like stage select did by the end of season 2. The idea itself is the most obvious answer to solve the discrepancy between theme count and stage count. There probably will be some weird combinations but also interesting ones that can create a whole new atmosphere. I thought Rash’s theme on Glacius’ stage was surprisingly fitting.
The new shadow VFX keep looking better and better. Or maybe I just got used to it?
Level 4 cinematic enders are a nice way to add some flashiness. Whether they distract from gameplay remains to be seen.
Overall they added a whole new layer of polish that almost makes it seem like a brand new game

I only saw a bit of the stream, but:
-New select screen for both characters and stages its great.
-Kim accesories look nice
-Tusk retro tease look really awesome
-As many have pointed, music select could use an improvement. Same outline of characters could work
-Not a fan of the VS font
-Shadows in lvl 4 ender are… dont know what to say. I need to see a bigger gameplay section to properly judge
-I’m really hyped!!! Only 2 weeks!!!

I like Retro Rash Premium set though I’d Probably use the Parts separately.

At the risk of opening a can o’worms, is it possible to cross accessories between Modern and Retro Rash. I really want to use brown rash the Rare set and Rainbow Rash with the Tribal set.

Yeah where can we watch this stream again?
Why are some taking issue with the option to use any music you want on any character’s stage? It’s not like the stages all of a sudden don’t have any musical identity. It’s just an option. Some of them actually sound pretty awesome when played on different stages.
As far as the execution of the menu for it, I think it’d be easier if they maybe had the menu over lay all of the tracks for all available characters with stages on top of the actual stage icons on the stage select screen and then give you the option above them for the five or six characters that don’t have stages as a list.
I know it’s not the most consistent graphically, but it honestly beats scrolling through 26 items on a list to find the track you’re looking for, at least in my opinion.

I’m really floored how beautiful the UI looks, the updates of the character select, the amazing godlike music selection for the stages, Retros for the season 3 characters-
Please give my thanks to all who thought like us and those who helped to us and make this happen.
The lighting and the music choice alone are a huge step forward for this game and I simply cannot wait for launch week. I’m glad I took off a week so I can explore and enjoy.
I’m really needing guidance regarding a fight stick. Is it obtainable to get one before 3/29? Or should I try buying a CronusMax and using my existing ps4 controller?? I’m not investing in yet another default xboxone controller, they keep failing.
I hear that certain fightstick aren’t supported yet- which ones are you guys using???
