Retro/old fighting games

I mentioned to my other half that I was thinking about getting some old consoles I had growing up. I came home the other day to find that he’d got me a mega drive and eternal champions.
My dad gave me his old ps2 to which I got capcom v snk2, king of fighters 2001 and street fighter ex3.
Now I’m looking for other consoles and fighting game titles I’ve never heard of or tried.
So I’m asking you guys for your suggestions and recommendations

Star gladiator and battle arena toshinden. I forgot bout them. I’ve never played bloody roar but I’ve heard max talk about it.
I’m surprised primal rage, eternal champions and bloody roar haven’t been remade.

You and me both. I’d be more than down for a sequel to any of those. I actually got to play the arcade only version (only two cabinets ever made) for Eternal Champions 2 and I have to say I really liked it a lot.

Anyways, here are a few suggestions:

Sega Saturn:
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3
Virtua Fighter 2
Fighting Vipers
Night Warriors: Darkstalkers Revenge
X-Men: Children of the Atom
X-Men Vs Street Fighter

I’ll check my collection and see if I can think of more for other systems, but the work day’s over, so I’m out. I had the same epiphany as you a few years back, so I’ve started to put together a decent collection for Genesis, Saturn, PSone, PS2 and Dreamcast.

yea… the memories. Its good to see how fighting games has returned with all they got.

Samurai showdown. I loved that game as a kid. Using animals as fighting partners.
The 90s was an awesome time for fighting games.
I might extend the search to rpgs as well, another passion of mine.
I can see my wallet crying already.
If only I’d kept everything goes growing up, I’d be in gaming nirvana now lol

Soul Caliber 2 is my first fighting game! This is my favorite childhood game of all time!

Thx for the suggestions. Panzer dragoon saga was amazing. One of my favourite ever games. As is the shining games.
So many brilliant games so little funds lmao.

Now why do you have to mention these? :joy: mainly, Phantasy Star II and III are what got me into Rpgs. Landstalker is perhaps my favorite of the entire generation.
