I did!
I think there is considerable merit in this. If youāre worried about people dropping and their spot being filled (and the choice obviously no longer being random), then Iād recommend simply leaving any spots that open up, open. From a viewer perspective as well, while it can be fun watching low-middlish level play for these characters, it really isnāt enjoyable to see someone just flailing around with a character whose moves they barely know.
My $.02
Iām in like Flynn.
Wait, what? Never heard that name before.
But enough about that, Iām here to say my piece.
I agree with what @BigBadAndy said about how itās not right to belittle @PVXenoraptor and that if weāre not pleased with the way the tournament is run, we shouldnāt participate. And I appreciate the time and effort Xenoraptor puts into setting up these tournaments. We wouldnāt have this tournament if it werenāt for him, and itās up to him how this is run.
But there is one important thing I have to drill into you to make sure you learn from this experience.
You have to plan ahead for everything.
I understand thereās a lot of factors that we cannot control (your mom getting you off the system, my stream crashing, people dropping out) but we have to make sure we have backup plans in case things go wrong. I was left to run the tournament entirely by myself, which included moderating the chat, commentating, streaming, recording the archive (which I ended up scrapping), and trying to make sure the brackets were updated accurately without being able to change them myself. As you no doubt know, this made me extremely stressed. This was also increased by the fact that there were prizes in this tournament, so it was extra important that the brackets updated accurately, or the guilt for the mistake would weigh on me. I decided to stream the tournament for you out of generosity of my time, and I get rewarded by that mess? I forgive you, but we CANNOT allow that to happen again.
Also, huge thanks to @BigBadAndy for the moral support and @Dayv0 for commentating for me while I fumbled around. You guys helped a ton.
@SonicDolphin117 Iām talking about this guy:
Anyway, I personally donāt mind how xeno runs the tournament. Every now and then I was posting positive comments on the streamās chat room saying that itās alright, not your fault or anyones and try to take it easy. It made me happy when @Dayv0 stepped up to help with the commentary. I had a lot of fun though.
But you havenāt signed upā¦
Iām a little sad thereās no archive because of this; I think @aWholio wouldāve gotten a kick out of my riptor. Got my setups on lock, but NO idea how Iām supposed to be moving around the screen.
V4 was a bit of a letdown, and I do apologise for that, but there are some things that people have said that stand out to me a lot.
This is VERY true. However, I am grateful for @Sasuke99I streaming the last three volumes. It was a shame that his connection was bad during V4. And also @SonicDolphin117 for archiving V3, and streaming V4. It would be more helpful for people to help me in other stuff.
In addition, In future RCTs, people that I truthfully trust (e.g. @Dayv0, @SonicDolphin117, @lewisthewizard, @ItzTymeToDul etc.) whoever is commentating with me, in this case, will get keys to the brackets as well, sometimes I just fear that theyāll troll it, but the people I mentioned wonāt because Iāve known them for quite a while now.
haah in order for anything as big as a tournament to work you have to trust people, i wondered why you didnt let ppl at least change brackets when you had to leave but i didnt question you. just hit me up on the pm or here. I can volunteer my commentary and time. I am you RCT clerk.
Bear in mind though that someone did troll the bracket with a 100-0 win
Lol I remember that. So that was my match that I won against someone, donāt remember who it was though it might have been against @blandestjohn but whoever it was, I put 2-0 but someone else put 100-0! It was so weird.
I donāt know if Iām going to be able to participate this time. The tournament ends so late for me.
If I canāt participate, I can help with the organization, challongue brakets, and all that stuff.
If you want I can commentate, althought as everybody saw, Iām terrible at that. My spoken english itās just OK to be understood, but definitely lacking when commentating. Maybe I could be more confortable as secondary commentator, answering a main commentator with better experience than me(and at least, natural english speaker XD)
In any case, Iām happy to hear that I helped @SonicDolphin117. There was a ā ā ā ā storm around, and luckily I had an umbrella to spare XD
You really did do a good job.
Yeahā¦[quote=āDayv0, post:54, topic:15891ā]

Aaaaaaall the time XD
Still better than Menzo. lol
Iām so sorry, Menzo
You got that Spanish charm though, you just need your commentating catchphrase!
Maybe you can do Ultra as if it were a goalā¦
Ultraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Ćl no va a estar de pie despuĆ©s de eso!
Huhā¦ the fun is kind of taken when Ultras are already screamed for long as part of their nature.
I already thought something like that.
I have ideas. All terrible. You will love them XD
Sounds like my youtube channel in a nutshell.
