ARIA in just her bare circuits, oh la laa~

Honestly, I don’t know what to say to that. So I’ll just shake y head.

So’s Fulgore.

No, I’m talking hot naked robot action.

That’s like looking at the inside of a human with blood and organs…that’s not attractive.

Bet ARIA’s got a nice chassis.

I know she does. I look at it all the time.

I honestly don’t want to see stuff like bikinis for all the girls. IMHO they’re actually very boring. A couple of strips of color here & there, but mostly It’s just skin tone #37 as opposed to skin tone #36. Not a whole lot different in concept than when people have been complaining about how bland it is to see the entire cast in a purple or green hue.
I’d much rather see new accessories that look awesome. Put more clothes on, not take them off.

If they’re going to do sexy skins, they gotta do them in a humorous way and make them for everyone. Lifeguard Gargos - a speedo, goggles, and doesn’t want to save you.

Not really a fan of themed outfit packs like this. I’d really like to see packs for characters that actually reflect the individual characters’ backgrounds and add a bit to who they are. Like a high tech spy Orchid outfit that looks unique to her would be more interesting and original than stuff involving bathing suits, wedding dresses, school outfits, etc.

Regardless of whether any of these are objectifying or not, it’s still kinda fetishising if the theme or goal is intending to make them look sexy and to me, that seems kinda pointless when other stuff that enhances the character in cool ways could be done instead.

In the same way that I wouldn’t want to see Tuxedo Jago if nothing in his story points to a need for it, I also wouldn’t want to see Wedding Dress Sadira unless she’s getting married in her story. I don’t care if those outfits make them look sexy or not. How does that equate to more enjoyment of the character or their story or the game or the overall story? That’s what I personally care about.

Plus, and I don’t mean for this to sound too pointed at all, but is there any particular reason why we need characters to look sexy in a video game about fighting? When did those two become so intrinsically linked? Like what does it do? How does it make the game better or more fun or more interesting or anything else? Why does sex need to be a part of the equation when other considerations could be more authentic to the character (even in a game with robots and dinosaurs) and/or more interesting?

If that’s what you want, then more power to you. There are plenty of other games that have women dressed a certain way to appeal to guys so for me personally, that feels like time and money wasted when more cool stuff could be done to give them more depth or give you a visual connection to their story, etc.

If any of those types of outfits happen to look attractive to the player, okay fine, whatever. I don’t particularly care. I just don’t think that needs to be the goal or even a consideration as to where the focus is best utilized creatively.
