You guys probably already know this, but I’d assume that the sound glitch is a rollback netcode issue. The game thought the kill happened, played the audio, rolled back when it realized the kill didn’t happen, but never stopped the audio. It’s likely that this happens with a lot of SFX.

Shadow Lab bugs

NO audio except for hit sounds

When getting to the top of the survival ladder match 10 the game either freezes or crashes

Difficulty bonus is at 1.00

A vertical gray line is present on the screen at the end of the match

Aganos: Jump+HK into Wall Splat -> Far HP or Far MP manual -> linker

For this setup, the pushback on the manual hit is only negated if Aganos does a light or heavy Natural Disaster linker. If he does a medium ND linker, the pushback isn’t negated and the 1st hit will whiff, maybe also the second (spacing dependent).

If he does any strength of Pulverize linker (Shadow included), the pushback on the manual will cause every hit to whiff.

Getting a 100% crash when I go to the Shadow Lab and view my history (Y at the Shadow Labs menu) to collect my rewards.

First time the game locked up and sound went on loop and then the game closed by itself. Second time the game locked up and the console rebooted itself.

I’m on the latest firmware and game update and have 2 Shadows (Jago & Omen). Shadow Labs was the first thing I selected on launch. After the 2 crashes I played a regular game without problems, though I haven’t tried the Shadow Labs history again.

this is not a sound issue or bug. It’s player connection problem. KI network engine corrected predicted situation and your opponent came back to life. But the main reason for this situation is connection lag.

A few days after season 2 was complete, I complete all the characters history challenges . The season 2 mural is complete but the achievement is still unlocked.

I had read some people writing about this issue, is this fixed already? I don’t have the achievement yet. I complete de rivals mode again, and nothing happens. Please can this be fixed. Thanks.

There is indeed a fix coming in one of our future updates soon.

For the duration of this match I wondered why I couldn’t jump over the flame attack, but when I finally did I tried a heavy kick cross up and my opponent was able to counterbreak me.

I refer to these as death sound glitches because, from my standpoint as a player with no vision, that is what they are, regardless of cause. Moreover, if I’ve killed a player, I expect them to stay dead, not come back and hit me with a full combo… :smile:
For the user saying “this probably happens with a lot of SFX”, this is not the case from all of my match experience online. Only death sounds have this issue, but I’d guess it’s because the files are longer it’s more noticible if anything else.

A bug regarding the Shadow Counter mechanic with TJ Combo was just found on my stream. I’m not sure if it’s already been reported, but I made a video to highlight it anyway.

Shadow Counters always consume a bar of Shadow Meter whether they’re successful or not, yet in this case, the counter fails but the meter is not consumed.

How to replicate:

Go to Training Mode, record TJ Combo canceling a normal into a command grab (any normal will work) in order to produce some blockstun before the grab.

Then, assume control of the Player 1 character, block the normal, and then wait a bit before inputting the Shadow Counter. If done correctly, the counter should start up RIGHT when the grab connects, and you will not lose a bar despite the fact that the counter failed.

If you immediately input the Shadow Counter after blocking the normal before the grab comes out, the bar WILL be consumed before the grab connects.

Before anybody gets concerned, no, this does not affect gameplay as it is. Why? Because the only reason players would Shadow Counter against TJ is if they were confident he would not go for a grab. Sometimes you’ll see TJ do a crouch normal into his Spin Fist instead, and that’s punished by a Shadow Counter, but it must be input IMMEDIATELY after blocking the preceding attack or they will miss the window. Delaying it is no bueno.

And as I said, if you Shadow Counter immediately after a blocked normal rather than delay it, then before the grab connects, the bar will be gone. So in that scenario, the Shadow Counter works as intended. If anyone saw the grab coming, they would instead backdash, jump, or mash DP.

Still, as the clip does display an instance where the mechanic isn’t working as intended, I felt it was necessary to point it out.

I Don’t know if this is a bug on the KI side but my “match ready” notifications aren’t appearing for KI.

When can I use my Fulgore Shadow?

  • Open Shadow Lab
  • Have Glacius and Thunder as my shadows
  • Have some shadow activities to see
  • Press Y to see the activities
  • Game crashes back to home.

Happens every time. It crashes so fast it’s hard to take a capture but I’ll try.

This happened at least twice in a 2/3. Hisako counters my jump-in, manuals, then her linker travels the wrong direction.

If Shadow Natural Disaster counter-hits an opponent with the front of its hitbox, it won’t recapture.

I reported the same thing a while ago. Jebailey (@GoogleMyName) sent me a PM asking for permission to look at my game save. Haven’t heard anything since. At the time they said it had only been reported by a couple of people but there’s starting to be a pretty substantial number of people saying the same thing in this thread.

I’m sure they are busy working on this and other bugs but it would be nice to get some kind of update. This one completely kills the shadow lab…
