WOW. So many good ones here! I tend to think that if we do get no-mercies, that they’ll be less gory, so I’m trying to pick out my favorites that IG actually has a prayer of getting passed sensors while keeping the T rating:
Jago: 6 Call of the Tiger. I’d say though that he just summons the tiger spirit, and the tiger swallows the opponent whole.
Glacius: 6 Black Hole. This one makes sense for him. I like it a lot, though I’d maybe somehow find a way for Glacius to extend some icicles and send them in to the whole with the opponent.
Thunder: 6 Theft of the soul. Well that’s just perfect for him. Only thing I’d change is that it should be a crow instead of an eagle. Not the inky, non-distinct crows that circle him, but a more defined one.
Orchid: 5 Target Gunpoint. Love this one. It’s perfect for her. I’d say have the room go dark just before the bullets start to fly, then have Orchid turn on a thermal visor that tints the background green and shows the opponent’s heat signature going from red to blue.
Spinal: 2 Kraken. As much as I love Life as a Pirate, only way they get rid of that is if it shows the opponent flying away with the cannon ball stuck to their stomach. That could work, but the ghost kraken is even better. I’d just say have the tentacles completely envelop the opponent and squeeze, then you hear a crunching sound and the tentacles release and the opponent falls to the ground.
Fulgore: 6 Expulsion. I like the heavy gun and laser grid more, but I can’t imagine they can get away with those. This would be a super-massive hype beam that turns the opponent to dust. I can get behind that.
Maya: 3 Wild Wing. I could see this one working well. Perhaps they all lift the opponent up, then you hear a bunch of swiping noises, some screams, and the opponent falls back to the ground.
Kan Ra: 5 Sarcophagus. I like this one. The snake would be cool and so would the bandages, but this one seems simple, easy, and fits him really well.
Riptor: 6 Calling the Herd. I’d say have about four or five of them swarm the opponent, they fall and the swarm blocks any view of the carnage. You don’t see the result, but the camera pans to Riptor, who lets out a satisfied breath of fire.
Aganos: 2 The Phenomen. Love this one. I wouldn’t put any blood on this, but just have him roll toward the opponent as this large ball, then have him run them over and take them with him.
Anyways, just wanted to say that I really enjoy these. I don’t think that MS can get away with a ton from a violence perspective. I mean, they had to change Fulgore’s throw so it didn’t look like he was stabbing the opponent, if I’m not mistaken. But I think that these can be done so that they can still look brutal, even if the actual brutality is more implied than shown.
Really hope MS/IG are paying attention to this thread!
