New character revealed: Shin Hisako!

That reminds me, howcome Sub Zero got his body back yet Jax still has robot arms after they were both revenants?

(Default explanation for anything odd in MK is always Quan Chi did it.)

Lol. I don’t disagree. The Aria knockoff could just be so much cooler if they wanted it to be, and that definitely would have been my preference. On the name thing I don’t really care either way. At the very least, I’ll take “Shin” over “Violent” any day as my generic adjective of choice :joy:

And more explanations are given in the MKX graphic novels/comic books too

She better have vastly different animations both dashing, walking or crouching (seems she retain’s her old crouch).
IF she just moved the same that would be lame and I’m not sure but I assume Shin Hisako’s normals would be radically different.

That’s what I’m afraid of as well.

If this is supposed to be “true” Hisako, free of all the demonic lust for revenge how exactly are they going to make her look? 99.9% of Hisako’s animations and moves are demonic or “creepy” in nature, so how is that going to translate into a heroic non-distorted monster character? By their definition remixes borrow heavily from the character they’re based on, so how is Shin Hisako going to both retain the original character’s base assets AND not look like a monster?

We can see she still has the awkward broken-neck head tilt, how exactly does that work when she’s no longer a horror icon trope? This entire thing seems very precarious to me, I’m sure the team knows what they’re doing but on the surface it looks like a very, very, very thin concept that I’m not sure will hold water.

What I do know is that the team will make her play well, so there’s no fear there but the theme
Eh, the theme is kinda so-so.

I just realized I was wearing a Hisako shirt the whole day! Coincidence?!

No they only gave us 8 characters and a re-skin of a character as a character but yes go on and talk about the what ifs, what if maybe just bare with me here this character is a major success since we haven’t seen ■■■■ other than a 20 second teaser and a picture.

Complaining about the name is good and all but can we really talk about how Shin Hisako looks like she is wearing the basic Hisako’s cheer leading skirt accessory?

To me, the outfit looks similar to regular Hisakos retro costume.

I don’t mind it though. I hope the accessory set is really good.

I’m really botheered by the fac tthat it’s Hisako again when it could of been a different character altogeather. Oh well.

Im sure you said the same thing when killgore was announced. Waste of a slot.

How did they kill this game? If you want to see it from your perspective, Shago, Omen, Kilgore and Shin Hisako are only 4 of what, 29? They barely make up a fraction of the cast. We have 2 remixes and 3 guests. That’s still 27 original characters (28 since it’s confirmed that the last character is original and brand new).

Like people have been saying KI has been dead since the guest characters were announced. It seems to be a vicious cycle of complete nonsense.

Calm down.

DH wouldnt have gave us ■■■■ like this
RIP KI
[/quote]You’re right, if the game was never handed off to IG there would be no new characters. In fact the game would have ended at season one.

Actually he’s one of my mains now and overall really fun character to play as. I don’t trust IG because I’m some deluded fanboy I trust them because they’ve proven time and time again that they can make a boring or bland idea/concept into something really cool and fun to play.

These were first my thoughts as well. I’m very curious how they’ll handle it.

They have been putting a lot of thought into characters’ personalities and backstories, so I would be disappointed and very surprised if they just glossed over these questions. I’m curious just how much of a remix she’ll be. I assume they could keep certain animations and add some new ones while still saving resources by using most of the same assets.
