Well its almost certainly not a guest from another game thatâs not owned by Microsoft.
yeah but akuma is in atleast 50% of all fighting games so anything is possible
I severely doubt this Katana thing is a guest character when the 3 guest characters we already have are non-canon to the KI lore.
This Tuesday my guess for the news reveal.

Iâm willing to bet that while Tuesday will be our next big tease -maybe a namedrop or a silhouette- Iâm thinking we wonât get a concrete reveal until KIWC. It only makes sense to showcase this new entity (as well as the 3.7 Patch Notes) at the biggest KI event of the year.

So, Looking more into the lore of KI, I couldnât find anything else. Unless I just suck at clue finding.
I know @Dragonps told me that âRebirthâ from the KI Katana tweet could be the key to finding more clues.
Based on that information, Iâm going to guess one of 2 things:
-If itâs a character (which I definitely suspect) theyâre likely going to be some form of undead. Whether a spirit like Hisako, or a body animated by the power of the sword.
-In the event itâs actually a guardian for SL, Iâm guessing it would apply the Last Breath effect to whatever character you use, probably the Gargos version for extra effect.

I like those ideas. I donât think Rebirth means a reanimated person (Dead) only.
It could even mean a rise of a new character or something. Very excited to know, even if it turns out to be a guardian
While i do agree with showcasing at KIWC, i think weâll get the patch notes prior to that.
Really, im just basing that off the last couple patches where we either got a video (which Rukari has already hinted at producing some kind of video) or just a straight notes update prior to launch.
We know 3.7 is coming after KIWC/KI-Con, and with 3 days of KI festivities I have a very strong feeling that -like last year- there will be lots of in depth presentations by @TheKeits and friends.
We may get the hard info in a list or a short video, but KIWC will definitely be the first time we see it in action.
And who knows, perhaps the âSoonâ video content that @rukizzel is working on will be shown at KIWC for just such a purpose, and the Soon part is relative because of the amount of production time theyâre giving said presentation.

For fun - the video process takes about a full week to be edited after the recording is done. Then I release. So if I get a final cut on Friday this week, that would mean Iâd be ready to release the start of the next weekâŠwhich seems like a solid plan, yeah?
