I hope it is a remix of Hisako maybe then I’ll actually use the character since she’s my most hated character of the cast.
The big challenge is many of Tusks sword moves don’t really work with a katana in mind. Although his stance could work (maybe front facing to be less obvious). Maybe his c.HP (although it would look weird holding a Katana with one hand) and his Ultra cancel where he does the flip slash are the only things that would make sense.

Maybe more along the lines of Classic Tusk from KI2. A pseudo-shoto that replaces the fireball with some wacky sword shenanigans.
After @TheNinjaOstrich 's post, I’m inclined to believe that line of thinking, but I still think it’d be funny if IG threw us a curveball and it turns out to be Jago/Orchid’s or even ARIA’s dad.

We already have 2 technically dead characters (Hisako and Spinal), and I don’t want more. That said, previously dead, but now alive (via rebirth/resurrection) is fine with me.
Please, please, please give us a traditional samurai. Or even an undead samurai. I beg you not to give us a modern reimagining with leather trousers and a tight top who wields a katana. Cheers Rukari.

True, but the theme, tone and design is Japanese. Would be cool, don’t get me wrong. But, based on what we have, it would be a massive curve ball.
I just think it’ll be someone who can best represent the Katana’s image or rather, its stereotype.
Its the orchid’s father, and we go have “Shadow Orchid” with a katana, i think.
Kim Wu did not know ANYTHING about using nunchaku, she was a normal student, and just because she was the chosen one (chosen by the guardian who is the nunchaku), she became a master of the weapon!

He does not have to be a zombie, he does not have to be Japanese, he does not even need to be a human, and he definitely does not have to be Hisako’s father wearing that katana!
There is no meaning in the text, “my father’s blade” and to be his own using the katana
