Just gonna put out a shortlist of characters I really hope come back
Skarlet, Tremor, Shinnok, Cetrion, Fujin, Frost, Cryax, Sektor, Shao Kahn, Tanya, Ashrah, Drahmin, Moloch, Goro, Sheeva, Motaro, Kabal, Sindel (good guy version), Nightwolf, and Bo’ Rai Cho
I’ve already mentioned some guest characters I want to see. But another cool one would be Guts from Berserk (if they can get the rights working). Also I remembered the Street Fighter team actually mentioning in an interview how Akuma would work pretty well in MK and could you imagine if they actually made that happen.
Also, since I’ve been reading the original story and it has a surprising amount of killing in it, I think an MK universe version of Sun Wu Kong would be very cool. Not as a guest character, but as like… an adaptation of the folklore in the same way Raiden and Fujin are.

Yeah, but aesthetically there is a considerable difference that would make it incompatible with MK.
He’s been peddling them as guest characters for MK AND KI for years now. Just ignore him. Treat him like a troll.

I hope Mortal Kombat 1 brings back all the types of finishers from the past. It’s pretty likely we’ll get Brutalities back. But I wanna see more Stage Fatalities. I wanna see Babalities and Friendships come back. I wanna see Animalities make their long awaited return!
I’m also probably the only one who wants back Motor Kombat, Puzzle Kombat, and Chess Kombat. But come on! Those would be so cool!

Chess Kombat, Puzzle Kombat and Motor Kombat would’ve been sick in the modern era.
I’ll take a modern Chess Kombat with online multiplayer over Towers of Time any day.

Been playing MK11 because of this announcement and man… the fact that Cyrax, Sektor, and Kronika were never made playable really bugs me.
Makes me wanna buy and mod the PC Version.
Seriously! Bring back these silly minigames and let us play them online with friends! You’d get so much more engagement and it would be willing instead of forced!

You’d think with how much MK11 kept boasitng about “Make your OWN customizations!” They’d include the cyborg ninjas who could’ve had ALOT of ideas for alt attires. Giving them human faces like Cyrax’s Deadly Alliance alt, maybe even premier skins of their human selves like MK9. Would’ve been better costume ideas than Dimitri Vegas Sub Zero, I’ll say that much.
Instead,we got Robocop Cosplays and a cyborg Frost who acted like a whiney little brat the entire game. Very disappointing indeed.
Then again, MK11’s customization was very lackluster to begin with imo. Aside from changing movesets, most unlockable skins were just trashy pallete swaps.

Again, I like Frost and I like the added connection to the Tekunin. But I see where you’re coming from.
But all that is why I hope to god they ditch the variations and go back to the kind of skins they did in MK9 and MKX. It was so much better. Just don’t make them horrific to unlock and tie some of them to being a top tier online player.
And for gods sake don’t make it so you can unlock a costume’s alt colors before it’s main base!
