Mortal Kombat 12

IDK. The fact that all of them end with pretty definitive deaths in pretty out of context ways make me think they’re just pre-rendered cinemas. Like, they wouldn’t make very interesting scenes in story mode.

“Shang Tsung shows up out of a portal, He fights Liu Kang and dies”
“Mileena and Kitana are riding in a stagecoach, then Kitana kills her”

Like they just don’t feel like actual moments in a story.

You gotta wonder why this behavior hasn’t fallen out of favor by now if everybody hates it. I guess despite being almost universally disliked it’s still somehow profitable. Which does not make sense to me. I never bought 11’s premium currency. I bought it’s DLC characters, but that was actual new content. And I absolutely hated the Krypt.

honestly the gameplay and roster better ■■■■■■■ impress because so far it looks very box standard and dull.

So Mortal Kombat 12 is now officially called Mortal Kombat 1, is that correct? At the same time is Mortal Kombat 1 now a retcon, reimagining, or mixture of both even of the overall Mortal Kombat Universe?

For those scenes I just assumed they were showcasing the fatalities of the game, but I wouldnt doubt some were only there for promotional hype. Least, thats how I predict it.

Brand loyalty is a powerful thing. EA, Activision, even Ubisoft follow the same scrutiny with mistake after mistakes, yet surprisingly still stay afloat. Call of Duty is a prime example.

I never bought any currencies either. Not in any game, not MK or in any other titles I own. But just knowing MK, a series I adored ever since the PS2 era started following bad trends of recent years, for me is just kinda sad.

“Optional” or not, MK DOES NOT NEED those types of exploits, and it only serves the higher ups in the longrun. A game where two people fight inside a box should not have currencie prices in the 100$ range. Thats just blatant greed right there.

Save that stuff for MK Mobile or MK Onslaught at least.

Since they have a literal mobile game to give them microtransaction money, I have no idea why they feel the need to do it in the main console titles too. I guess MK Mobile doesn’t have enough gatcha mechanics and anime waifu boobies to bring in whales.

Regaurding the “Kameo Fighters”… Im guessing they’re gonna incorporate assist characters it seems? Sorta like the Naruto Games and MVC1?

Guessing the assists from Towers of Time and Test Your Luck will be selectable

If thats the case, on the one hand it sounds like an interesting addition, but on the other hand… I can easily see this being a case of “Why is my favorite character only an assist?” And so on.

I doubt it will be that exact lineup, but it will probably function similarly to that. Plus that’s exactly what everyone has been predicting the Kameo characters will function like so… yeah.

If Hsu Hao runs onscreen doing a closeline, that would definitely be a sight to behold.

I unironically want that. Give us at least two or three characters as Kameos who are “hated” characters.

He did make it in the latest COD MW2. You never know…

Fun Fact - I’m not renaming this thread Mortal Kombat 1. Lmsao

Shredder in Call of Duty made as much sense as the King Kong vs Godzilla event they did for warzone.

Might as well toss Thanos in there at this rate.

I’m hoping we finally get Ash Williams tbh. And DoomSlayer. Hideki Kamiya wanted Bayonetta in 11 so that might factor in as well, though he might have just been joking.

He is? You’re pulling my leg, right?

See for yourself (Not a cod player myself)

That is awesome!

So, Homelander is among some of the rumored guest characters. It would be funny if they used this as one of his victory screens imo XD:

How about Beavis and Butt-Head for Mortal Kombat 1?

…I don’t think Beavis and Butt-head would work in connection with MK imo.

Those two would have a better chance of joining Fortnite than MK or KI.

hilarious but defiantly no happening.
