Mortal Kombat 12

To be fair, and I’m calling myself out for this too because I’m part of the problem a lot of the time. There is this kind of obsession with punishment in our society and our stories that’s not really… healthy… I’ve been trying to get over it but thinking about MK11’s story put me in an old mindset.

What I’m saying is there would have been interesting and satisfying ways to conclude the character arcs for both Dark Raiden and D’Vorah that don’t necessarily involve strict moralistic punishment. But they didn’t do that either.

I think if you wanted to conclude the Dark Raiden story all you have to do is make Raiden realize that he’s gotten out of hand and realized that his actions not only harm what he considers a threat but what he protects as well.

As for D’Vorah, while I don’t hat him, it was pretty risky for them to have her kill the timeline’s current scorpion though it was balanced out by the younger scorpion being there ad surviving. Though, now my brother hates her for that. Just like how alot of Mileena fans do. I even talked how Reptile could get praise by killing her while also making t seem like my favorite had avenged his favorite
But that was just all in good fun.

But while I can understand someone hating D’Vorah, i don’t hate her. But for an MK character she was very unique. Sense we never had an insect type character before.

I would have liked to have seen that.

Indeed. She’s not my favorite either, but she is an interesting addition to the MK universe.

And she’s a character that could still be around in a GKL era game

I’m not saying we trap Raiden in a dungeon and torture him like he did to Shinnok. Instead, just give him a proper conclusion is what they could’ve done.

Okay so after this I concluded one thing.

It’s defiantly taking after MK 11. Sense this is a grain of sand in an hour glass.

But what I don’t know is if this is thetimeline where Shang Tsung won or Liu Kang won

To me, instead of signifying taking place after it’s story, it more so signifies some sort of direct connection to MK11. Such as reusing it’s assets or gimmicks. Maybe the “pseudo MKTrilogy” game rumor with all the characters from 9-11 wasn’t far off the mark.

Be cool if it was a trilogy. I’d get to see all my mans again. Reptile, Sub-Zero and Rain

For all we know, this could be an all-new timeline where neither had won.

To a certain extent, it makes sense that they would imo. This kind of has been what Netherrealm had done in the past with previous titles to an extent while building off of that foundation.

I really don’t know what I’m supposed to take from this.

Essentially more clickbait

People trying to understand what all of Ed Boon’s song hints were implying in the roster.

It could be the trilogy/Armageddon like set up you have been thinking it could be.

Again, Ed Boon is a master troll. People assuming we’ll get a massive roster like Armageddon/Trilogy might be setting themselves up for disappointment.

Unless they do away with the variation system, which is very unlikely.

Maxamillion Dood seems to think they’re done with variations for whatever reason. I can’t remember why though.

Even with the lack of variation systems, I doubt they’ll go all out and bring everyone back.

Especially when esports takes high priority over everything else these days.

I never said literally everyone. Just the characters from 9-11. Which is a significantly smaller amount of characters, might not involve the guest characters, and was rumored a while back.

Mortal Kombat 11

  2. Centrion
  3. Shao Khan
  4. Geras

Bosses

  1. Kintaro
  2. Chronica

That totals to 50 characters (assuming the bosses are playable)
Then you throw in the final boss for this game which could be
Onaga, Blaze, or even a new final boss entirely.

New characters are Great Kung Lao and a few new ones

@SageBLOKHEAD
after listing the roster I can see that this may not likely be the route, be hopeful but keep the expectations realistic.

Also the reason I listed Kintaro was because he was a boss but not playable
Goro and Shao Khan were added to the playable roster cause that’s when they became playable in this new line.

I don’t think it’s unreasonable. Then they can do characters from the 3D era as DLC.
