Mortal Kombat 11

It’s fan-made, yes. A very cool artwork though.

If I remember right, Spawn exists as a character specifically because he died. He and his wife both died, and now he has to fight for/VS the powers of Hell to save her from damnation.

Pretty sure the kills God at some point.

I MIGHT also be thinking of the plot of Painkiller. A lot of characters in the 90s/ early 2000s followed that sort of plot if I remember.

Finally got a chance to watch the Jade/ Baraka walk-through
like the human version and that she is authentically Asian

High Robin Injustice2 inspiration

And I see a lot of scarecrow/ gorilla grodd in Baraka

Hmmmm could Starfire’s Burning Desire meter burn show up in Sindels moveset :crystal_ball::woman_shrugging::face_with_hand_over_mouth::crystal_ball:

Ok maybe I should type so that you do not hear what you want to hear

I like that the developers chose to use an authentic Asian human likeness for Jade.

Regardless of what you have seen other versions of Jade and what she is to you XD

I don’t think she looks Asian. She looks more like Zoe Saldana than anything.

Ok

She’s supposed to be Afro-Asian if anything.

Yeah I really like that they’ve added hitstops for MK11. I’ll have to see how they help the fluidity of entering combos and timing and what not when I actually play, but I wasn’t even aware of this until I saw the Netherkast video pop up in my Youtube feed.

I feel like playing MK in the past has been fine when you’re just playing MK, but going to any other fighter and then back to MK… There’s always a slight bit of an adjustment period and I think the lack of hitstops was part of the reason why. Timing windows feel much tighter in MK than in other games IMO, and I’m hoping that this will maybe loosen that up, even if only a tiny bit. I think even that extra fraction of a second can make all the difference, but I guess we’ll see.

Man, I have to be honest, everything about what they’re doing with MK11 in terms of gameplay is really looking good to me so far. Having less of an emphasis on massive combos that do a ton of damage, hitstops, taking the X-Ray out of the meter and adding it as a fatal blow and the way fatal blows are utilized, no run button, flawless block…

I’ll give it to NRS, they don’t just sit on their laurels and they never have. Each game feels rather distinct for a variety of reasons and while that can come with its own positives and negatives, MK11 is definitely shaping up to be one that I’ll enjoy playing.

So, most likely, the next character that will be revealed is Liu Kang.

Apparently there was a tweet that Smoke was left out of the base roster for MK 11. Smoke fans have my empathy. It was a tweet by Mick Pack.

That kinda sucks. Oh well…

Eh. Smoke’s not that interesting imo. People always ask for him, but he’s never really that interesting in any game.

Smoke was the hotness in MK3.

I agree his character isn’t very interesting but he consistently has some cool juggles involving his special moves and has been kind of fun to play for this reason in his iterations that I am familiar with. But I’m not overly broken up that he’s not included here.

Loved Smoke in MK9. Not so much the flowy hair, the name, or the enenra story aspects, but he was just so fun to use. I loved his moveset, his juggles, etc. I liked him in MK3, but I mainly prefer his human form, which made it all the more awesome that there was a hidden way to access it in MK3 or UMK3 (can’t recall if it was one or both of them).

Like Jade, it’d be nice if he had more to do than simply being someone else’s friendo or whatever. But seeing as that’s really his only calling card more or less, I wouldn’t mind seeing him as DLC. I’d actually prefer it. If he’s not in MK11 at all, I might be a little bummed about that, especially if they pick some other characters I’m not that in to, but they can’t please everyone.

Hopefully they have some fun and interesting stuff for him this time around. I don’t know why, but Liu Kang has seemed so dull to me for so long. He’s in almost every game, doing a lot of similar stuff to what he’s done before, and while I appreciate them changing him a bit with the storyline and making him evil and what not, I dunno… On the scale of reveals, somehow seeing him doesn’t rate all that highly for me. Maybe it’s also because he was more or less confirmed already? I dunno.

Either way, they’ve done a great job with every character so far, including some I wasn’t all that interested in before, so here’s hoping Liu Kang is another notch in their win column.

Yes, i feel the same way for Liu Kang. I think he needs a new moveset, more modern and complicated because until now he looks like the karate man from 90s and nothing more. His moves where flashy back then but for now they look old, not that they are bad but he needs some moves for the people to say “oh, look what Liu Kang does”. I think they will do it. Btw the kast is tomorrow.

P.S. i want to see the clothes or the skins to have transparent parts. Like Sadira’s clothes or Glacius’ skin. Until now they all look very solid. Well disigned though.
