That’s because there’s nothing really wrong with her face.

Her face looks bad…there’s no way around it.

That said, with th sheer volume of people saying it needs to be fixed combined with S3 being at least a month away I’m sure IG will try to improve her look before launch.

This is the kind of stuff that makes me nuts. There’s no way around it? I don’t know, I see plenty of people on this thread saying they think her face looks fine. They found a way around it.

I don’t think her face looks bad. It especially doesn’t look bad in profile from middle distance, which is how you will be looking at it during 99% of the game. Just finding a few people who agree with you doesn’t make your opinion a fact. Remember Cinder’s mouth? Far more people were upset about that and they didn’t “fix” it. #mouthgate#neverforget. It’s another great example of self amplification of an unimportant message that whipped its proponents into a furor, convincing themselves that 1) it was important, and 2) they were clearly in the majority so MS just HAD to fix it. It wasn’t, they weren’t, and MS didn’t. No one cares at all about Cinder’s mouth. They are too busy worrying about his juggles.

And the same 5 people saying ten times each that her face looks bad doesn’t mean that 50 people think her face looks bad. So I don’t think there is a “sheer volume” of people saying her face looks bad.

if you were decently smart you would know that it was a early reveal and that most likely will not be the final version of kim wu its stupid to assume based of a preview build. And to call fans sheep when your on the forums regularly just contradicts that to the fullest.

its a preview build people are just stupid ok

My girlfriend, who happens to be Asian, liked her face and said Kim looked like a pretty Asian girl - nothing bad stood out to her. @oDragonSpirit

So yeah, take what you will with that information.

Still, I find it odd how others find an opinion to be a sheer fact. Blows my mind, and for the OP to call us sheep is extremely hysterical.

Firstly, they stated that nothing is set in stone and that everything (I MEAN EVERYTHING) was subject to change depending on the feedback they were given. Secondly, game designers don’t give 100% or 150% of their lives… its more like 200% (often sacrificing time with their kids, wives, parents ect ect) to finish a project.

Your complaints, at the end o fthe day are subjective. I rather liked Kim Wu’s design, and she will only get more polished as we get closer to the release date. We can all remember what Maya originally looked like and or TJ Combo. They both moved incredibly stuff and their hit stop felt quite awkward. Now they are fluid.

Thirdly, the game looks freaking good and it plays a WHOLE lot better than MKX.

Also note, Rash has been in development a lot longer than Kim Wu and I’m sure she will be amazing once KI S3 is finally released.

Keep in mind, when you are watching something that it is a work in progress, it is exactly that, a work in progress.

Exactly, we’re voicing our concerns because there is a bar that is set. If we all say YAY! Kim Wu looks great, great job IG etc. etc. why would they feel to do more work on her if everyone is sold? Why even fully develop a character? just make a stick figure with a nunchaku and red hair, call it Kim Wu and the crowd will go wild right, the important attributes are nunchacku and red hair - work done, problem solved?

Now I’m not sure what you guys are trying to prove anymore… Are you saying If we don’t like it…try to complain and they will fix what like 15% of the community want?

I guess liking her face isn’t an option anymore.

Hi incubus- I fought your shadow the other day:)

Uh Huh…

The stream was BLASTED with people saying her face looks bad.

This place consistently knob slobs KI and instantly group attacks anyone who offers even the slightest criticism. Her face looks bad, that’s my opinion the opinion of MANY other people I’ve seen on stream, GAF, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and even LCD, Rico, Max etc.

But yes you’re right I’m making this all up and the opinion of the 2 dozen people who post here on regular basis is definitely the consensus…right.

You know what’s gonna be hilarious? When IG changes her face for the better…then what are you gonna say? ‘THEY ONLY CHANGED IT CAUSE ALL 12 OF YOU ■■■■■■■■■■ Grow up, her face looks bad, it needs work and people are voicing that because

This is a discussion forum designed to do EXACTLY THAT.

and

MS, DH, and now IG have all SPECIFICALLY ASKED US to tell them what we like and what we don’t like, and they have shown they will listen and take action (within reason) to give us what we want.

And with that I’m out, have fun quoting me 1000x calling me a picky hater when all I want is Kim Wu’s face to look as good as it can and should.

It’s not very good. XD
I’m not good at reacting, so I can’t do Combo/Counter Breakers most of the time, and I can’t do Manuals.
But ah well. :stuck_out_tongue:

What we are saying is that is doesn’t look bad because it is under the pretense that it is in development. That means it is not final. I wouldn’t be mad if they changed it. However, it seems you would be mad if they didn’t. This is the argument you’re trying to “win”.

What you also don’t seem to grasp is that Twitch chat, YouTube comments, and forums are generally filled with a vocal minority. Because, often, when you’re happy or content, most people have no reason to go there (in the case of forums), or have something to say unless it’s about something that they don’t like. Since I’ve had 16+ years of dealing with this sort of thing, this is what I’ve come to learn.

Does her face rub some people the wrong way? Sure. Is how she plays more important than how she looks? Yes. Function over form.

Again, I’m not saying she’s perfect. I’m saying, that I understand that it’s under development and there is still polish that’s taking place. People can voice their opinions, but when it comes to how there needs to be some tact involved.

She doesn’t need to look like a goddess, she just needs to look human. That’s what matters to me.
