Kim Wu reveal is a concerning matter

Well she is a certified Demon ■■■ Kicker…She said it herself in the trailer ;)[quote=“DeathBlooms2K8, post:81, topic:4669”]

Good thing I don’t play KI for the amazing graphics. It’s the game play that shines in this game people. You should be more concerned with how Kim-Wu plays.

Each to there own as always… Just trying to be funny

calm down man. People have the right to have their opinion anf you shouldnt generalize saying that the people that complain are those that complain about everything. You wont find any post from me complaining because i wont complain about something like that. If it ends to be the final version then it is what it is but if you would ask me what i think about her face i would tell you that the first thing that came to my mind when i saw it was that it looks like a character from soul calibur which yes its bad. Except her face everything is awesome about her so im good.

Its all well and good to criticize an in progress game( respectfully of course) however it gets annoying when we have 5 more new threads repeating the exact same thing that was already spoken of and discussed in the main Kim wu reveal thread.

I mean I was surprised the person who created the post created a new thread and put so much importance on how the puddles in Kim wu stage don’t splash or reflect among other grievances that doesn’t need an entire new thread

I’m just wondering if those that say Kim’s animations are stiff actually saw the TRAILER, or

The KI WORLD CUP STREAM.

ONE LOOK at her maxi style fluid nunchuck action dispels the Maya/ Combo thing.

She is arguably the most fluid according to the presentation on max reveal stream.

The trailer, particularly showcasing her ultra, was a little choppy but all or the trailer reveals are like that. Sadiras trailer was the same..

SO I can’t say what I think? Like someone else stated here, if everyone just loves everything and will accept anything that IG make then we don’t get a great game/characters/graphics etc. I did say sheep but I was referring to fanboy, yes man or whatever you want to call it. It was what came to my mind when I was thinking how many people will just accept and defend because they like the game. There is a place for that but there is also a bar that is set and we shouldn’t accept anything less just because we love KI. Get with the program of what I mean instead of attacking me because I make valid points that you don’t like, I want these guys to bring their best, I know what we saw wasn’t acceptable, a month away from release and just saying.

@BigBadAndy

keep this in mind!

I don’t know, but watching the season 3 matches on Max’s youtube, and I think it all looks great. Kim Wu looks fast and fun, and her stage is so dynamic.

Your complaints aside, you do realize that beta builds are basically never the most up to date version of the game right? Part of the reason companies don’t often do them is because you basically have to take an earlier build and segment it and polish it up to the point that it will run without any bugs or crashes or anything like that. A beta is not a cut/paste of the most up to date version of a game - they are generally more like a parallel mini-development that’s offshooting from an earlier build.

In short, they’re a lot of extra work for something that will only see the light of day for a few days or weeks at the most. I’m thankful that IG took the time to make one and showcase it at the World Cup, but quite frankly I wouldn’t be surprised if they just said “eff it” in the future. Every time they share something with us that isn’t 100% complete the forums erupt into wailing and gnashing of teeth. Which kind of ■■■■■■ me off, since it virtually guarantees that they play their cards closer to the chest in the future. And rightfully so - it’s really just not worth the hassle and complaints they get when they share early work with us. :unamused:

I love her Outro. The movements are so fluid!

I think Kim Wu looks great, visually and gameplay wise.

IG is constantly improving every aspect of the game so I’m sure it’ll look better to some but not other’s standards. Can’t say I noticed any puddles that are talked about here haha. They said during the S3 gameplay that all stages are even getting new lighting done which we haven’t see yet, if that matters to anyone.

I guess since Kim looks good to me that makes me a yes man.

I think this falls under the whole viewpoint of: When everything else is done right or done immaculately, the small things that look off or wrong stand out.

I know I’m guilty of it and it’s always easier to put down what you don’t like about something, but I see what sheer amount of work went into looking at the last 2 seasons and balancing all of that out to know that what they’ve shown us so far for season 3 has been pretty big.

They’ve stated the stages are all getting the updated lighting effects, so they’ve already done work on things we have been declaring we’d pay separately for.

We’ll all see come March, but I’m looking forward to it regardless.

Just wait until Season 3 is fully revealed and launched. I feel like these dumb little complaints about unfinished work will look even more pointless. They have barely peeped about Season 3.

Keits himself said it was very hard to pull off Kim’s awesome mobility and nunchuck stances.

#I dont disagree with these posters on both sides!

Weve all moaned about graphics we’ve all praised game play. I get it. Nothing comes out wowing other than game play.

But ive come to the fact in 3 years that this ki. This whst ki looks like and i just gotta deal with it lol

Yes IG id like some time spent on kims face. But generally im super happy.

I have to compare this game only to its self. I agree kim looks a bit odd but this is ki not mkx of sf5 lets try not to compare so much

Im just pleased shes fun to play because i stoped marveling over scorpions graphics precisely 15 minutes nto playing mkx lol.

i think the same when people can not understand that people have different preferences.

I dont care for a story mode as example. I would be totally fine if they delete it from ki. But i understand that for some players this is a important thing.

Its called open minded and tolerating different opinions. For some Kim Wu looks stiff but still play her (i will) and some dont play her because of that.

And tbh critic to a in development status game is what i really like about ki. They listen and read. I moaned a lot about cam and it was good to hear that they listened.

So kudos to MS/IG. And no one in this thread says IG is doing bad work.

I am very opened minded (That gif was a joke) I just find it silly. When people won’t play a character just because of detail. You probably won’t even notice it in the heat of a match.

But hey opinions man. They’re crazy right

Like You could tell me maya’s animation are crap…And I would go get strawberry ice cream (I’m not serious) Because I can’t tell The difference Between in the heat of the battle. Actually at all for that matter.

In the heat of the battle maybe not. But as a spectator people will notice.

Touché.

But I think this pic can speak for this entire thread. At least I hope

KI is my only fighter. I don’t draw any comparisons between it and any other fighter, but that is the key point about all of this.

Gameplay is what’s going to win hearts and minds and when netcode can breed tourney competitors at high level, you know you’ve done something right.

IG are keeping that going with execution and now the mind games with the introduction of the flip out into neutral game shenanigans will carry this great game onwards.

sigh I think I’m starting to settle down now, after that weekend of heartache and bitterness. :stuck_out_tongue:
