I’d prefer Joanna over Arbiter any day!
This game already has so many stages. At this point I think its ok that a new stage isn’t added for every character. I at least want all the classic characters to have their stages. I assume Tusk stage is coming.
My gosh! This is incredible! Thank you so much! It is not Shine Brigther, it is WE JUST MADE A NEXT GEN GAME GRAPHICS! thank you so much!!!
Mmm…I dunno, Kan-Ra’s library actually looked cooler the old way. Looked more rustic and decrepit (the new one throws off too much vibrancy, especially around the floor).
Guess the other previews showed positive change, though. The detail on the characters themselves is pretty good.

Be honest: was it Tekken 7: Fated Retribution getting a graphical overhaul that inspired this?
My problem with the three stages is only one. All characters so far has very specific and characteristic stages.
Except some that are more generic, but in general all are very specific and complete the concept of the character.
When you post a vampire without a proper stage, something is missing. Lack a background, lack an environment for him. Aganos for example, shows where it comes from, how he lives, a clear atmosphere, quiet, serene. Reflects what he would like to be, what his soul like.
Sadira and Kanra, are the opposite, the character’s personality is linked to the stage. When you take this … you are missing something.
As I said, some are generic, Riptor for example, is the clearest example of a character that was made in haste, without the same care as others. starting with the music,to the stage without creativity.
“We just have to solve in time”
This final concept, is what I think will be lacking in my opinion!
Must have some technical problem behind all this, which will probably never know what it is!
I’ll be disappointed if by chance any of these new characters, be my eye drops, and he did not have an own scenario! Personal taste
I’m thinking what they are bringing with the lighting is more interactive things like in Kim’s stage an ender makes the motorcycle topple over, the birds flutter and fruit stand shakes and releases content, the van in the midsection pulls up and safety alarm and lights flashing,
this addition to s1 & s2 stages including Kan ras library, could bring books falling down, some of the artifacts breaking in game with Enders and new bounce tech instead of only the ultra causing destruction.
I love in Kim’s stage the look of the canopies flowing and the signs popping with electricity just amazing… This 50" is READY
They want players to see and feel like the stage is not just some flat painted background… And the vibrant lighting will help showcase that.
As an artist man I so appreciate these updates !
A vampire could easily share sabrewulfs edited stage. Just look at that creepy castle in his background.
you are missing the point! The vampire is not the objective here ![]()
And they have spoken that will not be shared stage, that is … no sabrewulf stage for the vampire (if it will be …well … is not the point) ![]()
translation of rukkizel’s statment: Ultimates are not in KI, and they never will be.
SLIGHT correction.
I don’t think “never” is the correct word.
With the exception of Shadow Jago, Ultimates will not be in Season 3.
This is something that drives me nuts. Just because you don’t like something that is not an indication that it was not carefully made or is lacking in quality. Riptors stage and music are not in any way of lower quality than others.
To be fair, Mick Gordon himself said that Riptor’s theme was cooked up in like two days flat after his original one was rejected. And it shows, out of all the tracks Riptor’s is (in my own opinion) the least memorable. The stage itself is fine though.
I would say this is the best way to put it. I listen to the soundtrack all the time, but I hardly even remember how Riptor’s sounds - but I certainly don’t dislike it.
the only music between all stages, you barely notice that is playing, so “elevator music” it is
I think Riptors stage is of the grungiest which is cool. A lot of dark colors make the characters pop. I cant wait to see all the stages in the revamped glory.
This is where I disagree. Even now when I see Riptor’s stage I’m amazed at how boring it is compared to all the others. I could rant further but I’ll just shrug and say: I just have no idea what is going on in that stage.
Kotaku is the absolute worst! Especially when it comes to fighting games. I’m fairly certain they don’t have anyone on staff who takes the fgc seriously.
Could be worse. Like it could not have an offline arcade or vs mode. wink:
