Killer Instinct Season 3 Graphics Shine Brighter

I doubt they’ll even do Ultimates for season 3 they are pretty ■■■■ sure about it. So as far as I am concerned no Ultimates is a big loss and kind of of the biggest thing I’ve been wanting since season1 launched. However they seem very adament about not doing Ultimates for anyone but Shago, so for me, they didn’t do Ultimates at all.

on the topic at hand: yes the new lighting looks awesome and I’ve said quite enough about how awesome it will be.

Meh, I’ll be honest… everything we saw about the new System Changes and Character Balance Changes a month ago still GREATLY outweighs any negativity I may feel over the decision to introduce only 3 new stages in S3. Not only that, but we don’t know why the decision was made, and I’m sure there is a good reason for it. There is still so much we don’t know about S3, I couldn’t pretend to have this news kill any of the hype for me.

We know Kim Wu and Tusk are in, the new lighting looks awesome, we still have new Modes that haven’t been revealed, we have a new guest character that already seems cooler than frogboy, we know the overall gameplay is getting a ton of improvements and all of our favorite characters are getting a bunch of new tools.

With the improvements to all the old stages, new stages can take a back seat. I’m still incredibly pumped for S3.

I just hope it comes soon. SFV really isn’t holding my attention for very long…

I call stage ultras since they had to go back and relight why not make them interactive

You’re all welcome

Oh I have a questions I keep forgetting. @rukizzel @TempusChaoti

1- Does season 3 provide more shadow slots?

I’m gonna be disappointed cause I can’t delete my Maya and Orchid and I want to add Hisako Sadira & Kim Wu shadows to spar against.

2- was Kim Wu motion captured like Maya and Kan Ra were?
3- was Orchid finally reworked to have a waist that someone said a bit ago she was unnatural and wanted to go back And rework her skeleton?

4- am I getting my mkx style character viewer? Where I can zoom around Orchid and see her outpost stage in full view!

Let us admire all that hard work that was put into the models and stages!

And thanks again SO MUCH for Kim Wu! A lot of people tried to undermine her in 2014 so I’m so thankful you guys remained vigilant to include her!

(Throws money for ultra season 3 pre order and community fund for Orchid skins)

Since the Kim Wu trailer and Arbiter’s trailer, something caught my attention. Is it just me or does every human character appears to be wet all the time? Some people have said that they’ve look like plastic, however I think they’ve dived into a lake before fighting their opponents.

Be respectful towards your opponant, bath first…

…first rule of fight club? :winking_face_with_tongue:

I think they’re going for the sweaty look

Really late to the party here. Just found out about this yesterday and just finished reading everything.

Pretty much everything has been said so I’ll keep it short. The news of 3 stages only are definitely disappointing (and flat out weird, given what currently exists) but, in my opinion, not THAT terrible. Looking at the whole thing, yeah, there’s a healthy amount of stages.

Again, this is all very weird, given the precedent and trying to imagine certain stages with certain other themes and seeing a character without a home turf, that obviously adds so much to them, it’s going to be weird and I’m sure it will feel very disconnected.

But whatevs, I read it, was sad, accepted it and was over it in a minute.

Now, what reaaaally irritated the ■■■■ out of me was how this was communicated to us. Yet again, something huge (and negative, of course) is announced in a throwaway line while talking about something else (Dojo for all characters, anyone?). It wasn’t even properly clear in the initial statement. We had to ask many, many times, in many different ways and Rukari had to answer many, many times in many different ways (to a hilarious level, actually) for it to be clear.

I find this extremely disrespectful to the community. It’s like they were trying to avoid the reveal and reaction so they tried to sneak it in somewhere hoping that no one would notice. Like, really? They said they were expecting and ready for the negative reaction, well, you handled it the worst way possible. I guarantee the dissatisfaction in this thread would be tremendously less if it had had a proper announcement.

Again, I’m not even upset about the actual news of only 3 stages, just how this was handled. Heck, the reason I just found out about this is because it was so snuk in something else. I didn’t read the news article about lighting, because I just don’t care about lighting stuff at all. I found out about this from the Arbiter’s trailer thread, instead.

I don’t even care about the reasoning or feel like you OWE as an explanation or anything for why we’re only getting 3 stages, but you should have been CLEAR that this is happening.

It was very clear in the original post.. and I didn’t see or feel any disrespect at all.. They told us about the stages whiles in a forum post about lighting changes to the stages.. all links together.

Now, see that? You’re doing it again. You all keep saying that in the present tense. And I know y’all are paying close attention to the wording you’re using. This is still vague. This is what is keeping hope alive for many people, including myself.

You’ve been really nice in this thread wanting to give straight answers, so.. let’s try this: If you’re honestly not giving anybody else Ultimates, can you change your statement to “By the end of Season 3, Shadow Jago will still be the only character with an Ultimate.

That’s more or less what you said, right? Just a few innocent extra words..

Can you confirm that statement? Can you? CAN YOU?

I bet you can’t :sunglasses:

Then how come this thread was shrouded in confusion and there were dozens of posts asking for clarification? Are we all idiots?

Mainly because of disbelief and/or thoughts of devs trolling again. The article itself was pretty clear about it.

Can confirm what you wrote.

Because there are those who choose to try and read into everything beyond a reasonable amount, thinking that maybe there is a loophole somewhere… like above.

This is starting to sound exactly like the Bioware forumss and the indoctrination theory when they couldn’t believe the ending of mass effect 3.

there is only three stages in season 3
there is no ultimates for anybody.

Anybody who does need further clarification is simply in huge denial. Or kinda dense.

 Wow. Genuinely did not see that coming. Well, I’ll be damned.

Thank you very much for the reply! That’s one solid confirmation.

I wasn’t asking for details…it was literally asking if season 3 was nothing but guests. Simple yes or no( even with a yes, we would still be zero steps closer to knowing who they are).

Kim Wu is not a guest, and Tusk won’t be a guest; Gargos won’t be a guest either, but we don’t know if he’s going to be playable. So really, the only possible answer to your question is no, I think.

Guest just means a character from another franchise.
Hopefully they make more non-guest characters… Don’t want S3 to be all Battletoads and ninja turtles and Bugs Bunnies…

I don’t see what you’re looking to clear up here. He asked if “Season 3 was going to be nothing but guests” and I know exactly what a guest character is - but my point is that Kim Wu, Tusk, and Gargos, all being from KI, are inherently not guests, and so the answer to “will Season 3 be all guest characters” can’t possibly be anything but “no.” Because there are three returning canon characters…

Ah I get it now. I think what he’s really asking is “since all classic KI characters are now accounted for, will the remaining characters be guests?”

A legitimate concern only because all the non-classic playable characters we know about are guests.

I really hope this isn’t the case.
