As someone who is a big fan of the KI game/series and always tends to look at the positive and defend what you guys do with game (because it’s really fun) I am seriously disappointed at reading this news. I really dislike that not all characters are getting stages cause it honestly makes the characters feel more empty without them. Fine if there’s no ultimates or humiliations I can deal with that, no cgi or animated cutscenes for the intro and arcade endings like KI 1 and 2 that’s okay it’s a budget game but really no stages for all upcoming characters? That’s what was always interesting to me about the old KIs was that each character has there own stage and it lets us know more about them through the stage, now it gets to the point for me where this feels incomplete. Half the hype of the character reveals were to see how awesome looking there stages were .The PC port is understandable if the budget went there but i personally would rather give up both or at least one guest character so we can just get the stages (maybe that’s me just being selfish). I really hope this new thing that is being added to KI is mind blowing because half my hype for season 3 has gone away lol (which is a shame cause u guys were on roll with how well KI Cup and how many people are excited to try KI). If you guys do a community fund for stages I’m so willing to pitch in cause I really do love this series.

Why is everyone convinced that there is only going to be three new stages total? IG wouldn’t do that. We know that Kim Wu and Arbiter are getting a stage. There is no way that Tusk and Gargos won’t get their own stages. It would just be soo anti-climactic for this story they seem to be working so hard on. It’s not like they’ve never trolled us before. Remember the season 2 launch trailer and the “Omen” silhouette?
@M00NLightNinja That’s the nicest thing you could post? They murdered KI? They brought back a near 20-year dormant franchise with outstanding mechanics, awesome character designs, premium net play and cool modes like shadows, but all of that is undone by five fewer stages.
I think you might want to stop lashing out and consider getting a grip on your emotions, because the hyperbole you’re slinging around here is downright childish, but…
Well, if that’s how you feel, that’s how you feel. You seem to think that directly contacting one of the guys that brought KI back and leaving that kind of verbal garbage on his doorstep is somehow justifiable because of five fewer stages (in a game that already has a lot). Let that roll around in your head for a while.

Imagine the possibilities… Instinct makes him into a dark hadou version of Dan and it lasts until his life depletes sort of like Necalli. His ultra could just be 1 hit and the rest is his taunts (call it a humiliation for the casuals.)
It really makes me wonder if the thing shown in the Arbiter tease was actually a stage.
If I’m guessing right now, and this is me being optimistic that we’ll actually see nine characters:
- Kim Wu - Stage 1
- Arbiter - No Stage
- Rash - No Stage
- Tusk - Stage 2
- Gargos - Stage 3
- Guest from Gears of War - No Stage
- Mira - Relit Maya Stage
- Eagle - Relit Thunder Stage
- Eyedol - No Stage (season 3 bonus, uses Gargos’stage)
Well, at least until they confirm that stages won’t be getting the Shadiw Tiger’s Lair treatment.

i’ve read every post and now thinking what is the one thing that I’ve always asked for that hadn’t gone in and and for killer instinct?
that would be classic characters and more options (costumes/ music choice etc)
I want to say they heard our cries and our designs and they finally gave us more costumes and that they may have answered a prayers
and going out on a limb here maybe even giving us a library of accessories in exchange for a few new stages.
I have always wanted to hear GLACIUS theme on any other stage, what’s so wrong with that? At least you could choose…
What if you could choose the incomparable killer instinct theme for a FIGHT? maybe it’s limited to solo play, and not cross platform or multiplayer, at least you have the CUSTOMIZATION of it. Did that cost a stage for Mira for me? No problem!!!
For the devs to have always said ‘it’s (s3) exciting we have lots of stuff planned for you’ it really gives me hope that the trade off will be so great that we will forget about the stage for each new character when we have a multitude of options for all those characters with new costumes modes and hopefully music options
My biggest happiness is the return of kim Wu!
I can’t express more how I really would have been disappointed had I heard that they canceled her appearance and killer instinct my joy came when I saw her reveal and now they could tell me that orchid still has goggles in season three and I will be OK with that I swear I will lol
I’ve been waiting for orchid to wear something other than that SAME Kevlar vest the last TWO YEARS. spies do not wear the same thing that often.
Wouldn’t you be most excited to hear that fulgore had three more costumes rather than a stage for the Babylonian king?
Seriously I want to believe that three new stages doesn’t mean six old stages and to clarify I mean the static images we saw in practice mode the last two seasons I want to say that they include the K I to backgrounds for practice and maybe even for fights
If I am wrong I don’t mind the depth of Kim with stage as an artist I noticed immediately and the upgrade of attention to detail and lighting alone sparked my interest for season three more than I thought it would

The admission that all characters would have their own theme is reassuring and I look forward to what is still in store
Story mode / costumes/ character specific depth/ dojo/ remember our requests were NOT stages but more characters including our classics
I only hope they take the street fighter launch on PC seriously as this could be the same for killer instinct launch a season three

While you’re sitting in the corner being furious that we have 20 stages instead of 25, the rest of us will be enjoying new combo options that allow for more creativity, new characters, possibly stage ultras for all stages, new game modes, new story modes, a larger community as other FG fans join via pc, new stage interactions for all stages… Unless at some point you realize your rage is silly and pointless, at which point you’re welcome to join us.
