Tusk’s story was ok…I have one major complaint.
The whole “Viking doesn’t understand technology” thing is kinda taken to absurd levels here.
I mean for the guy to be so dense that he barely knew what a gas motor was…a technology that has been around for over a century.
It may just be me, but from everything I read about history throughout most of it being educated was something everybody strived for, and part of said education would include understanding the technology of the day. That being said if he was immortal and old, mountain man or no he would likely know full well what a gas motor is, and have traded in his gold coins for current currency. Essentially, he’d be similar to all the immortals in Highlander.
…unless part of the story not being told here is he went Capcicle for a few centuries. Then yeah, it’d make sense for him to be so ignorant.
Tusk got in a fight with Shago, who then tried to steal his sword. Imagine Shago using Tusks sword? thats a scary thought.
Hooded Aria should be an accessory set.
Tusk has seen Aganos(or one of the other gokems) way back when they were new.
I still would like to find out whats going on at Wulf’s castle. I hope we won’t have to wait many chapters to find out.
“How long?” asked Tusk. “How long have I been away?”
“Ummm…at least two years,” she said. “The last time I saw you, you were fighting with that crazy blue-skinned guy in the street. He came to the bar where you were drinking and tried to kill you.”
“A warrior?” he asked with interest. “With blue skin, you say? Like the Picts who painted themselves blue with woad dye and rushed into battle naked?”
“I don’t know about that,” she said, “but he was a maniac. He wore a skull mask like some psycho American biker, and had a weapon—a weird saw-bladed sword. He was covered in tattoos like you. And he had this knee armor shaped like tiger’s heads. How can you not remember him?”
“And frozen cream with cherries. That was his favorite.”
Well, if I wasn’t in love with Tusk before, I am now. XD
By the way @rukizzel, could you update the top post with links to each novella chapter as they are released? Or is there a place to see them? I just accidentally stumbled over the Tusk chapter that @Filemoncio posted. Can’t find it on the main site either.
Will these stories be animated in the story mode or shown to some extent ? Also they should try to include arbiter and rash into the story mode. its possible right ?
Wait, they’ve been adding more!? How come you guys aren’t announcing this!? Here I am waiting for new news and stuff, and it’s already here! I had no idea! Why did you do this (or rather, NOT do this)!?
I finally got around to reading chapter 2 and loved it! The appearance of ARIA, Riptor, and Fulgore was a nice touch, as were the many references to his earlier fight with Shadow Jago 2 years prior, and his visions of Gargos himself. I also particularly liked how the author referenced my favorite character, Aganos, since Tusk saw Fulgore as nothing more than a “war golem” of sorts.
