KI is much better game than SF and MK. MK is the worse.it is only marketing. and where ever the marketing factor comes,it destroys everything.it is like Coca-Cola is making the less commercials because they know they have a good product.everybody else is running making a tone of commercials to be competitive to this product.please KI don’t do flashy moves, you are a good product, just keep the same spirit.and numbers is quantity not quality.
One tiny, little, and optimistic part of my heart keeps wispering:
If you own both s1 and s2 ultra editions, you get s3 for free, cause we love you dude!
I think this has turned into the KI hate thread all of a sudden.
I could honestly see a scenario very similar to this. The optimist in me thinks that they’ll maybe add another new mode and maybe expand the story mode a little bit, but given that they don’t have a redone game to sell in an Ultra Pack, it’s entirely possible that they’ll go smaller on the overall package and just stick with a Combo Breaker pack.
You’re entitled to your opinion, of course, but I think that MK’s an awesome franchise. As someone that enjoys a good story, I think MK’s mythos, though incredibly convoluted, is still far ahead of the genre. The fighting is fun, though I’ll grant you it’s still too stiff. I’d love it if they got rid of gimmicks like the X-Ray, but I give them all the credit in the world for changing up their formula a lot throughout the years while many other fighters remained relatively stagnant. MK captured my imagination when I was younger in ways that no other game or series has ever done and for that alone, it’ll always be among my favorites.
As far as marketing, I’m not even sure what you’re talking about there. I’m seeing SFV marketing all over the place right now. Does that mean they don’t have a good product? Coca-Cola does a ton of marketing, but not as much as they used to in the United States. This is largely because they’ve saturated their market here, so overseas markets tend to be an increasing focus. Several companies in the US are in this situation.
That looks freaking cool as hell and I’d love to see a version of Sabrewulf’s stage like that.
I think that they’ve showed some of season 3, and they’ll have a good deal more to show in the time leading up to launch. I’m assuming that they have a schedule of info releases lined up to generate the most hype leading in to launch day.
Let’s not forget that this game could still be more than a month away from releasing and that there’s an event this week that will have provide some KI news. Let’s just see how that goes before we start worrying about a game with new content on the horizon fading in to obscurity.
But at the end of the day, if you’re both moving in two different directions, then it’s probably better to end it rather than stay and be miserable, don’t you think? There’s no quiet nobility in being miserable.
Is it possible that you’ve become more invested in being dissatisfied than with enjoying the actual game? That’s not a rhetorical question. I’m just curious where your actual scale is at in terms of what you get out of the overall experience of playing the game, posting online, etc.
I just don’t get why someone that seems to get so little enjoyment out of something would continue to frequent a site for it and complain about it. Self-flagellation? I certainly don’t begrudge you for having an opinion and I agree with you about many of those things that you listed, so please don’t think I’m attacking you, but I personally still love the game and consider many of those issues to be minor. I also love what IG’s done with this game and really look forward to more content.
If things seem to be heading the wrong way for you, then why not just reevaluate and invest your time someplace else? Emotionally invested? C’mon man. It’s a game. It’s meant to be enjoyed. If you’re not enjoying it, then what’s the point?
A lot of those aren’t “quality” issues though. They’re subjective opinions. They’re “I don’t like the way you did this” views. “I don’t like that Orchid doesn’t have a thong” isn’t a quality issue. She’s not objectively less of a character design because she’s missing exposed butt cheeks.
I’ll concede that some of those are quality, like certain animations from a technical standpoint, but grouping actual, conscious design decisions in with stuff like that makes it far too subjective to the point where calling them quality issues is really rather misleading, as your opinion of what’s good or what belongs in KI or whatever doesn’t automatically equate to quality.
Yep, they are definitely setting them selves up for even BIGGER disappointment! Its all a fantasy fabrication trying to trick themselves into believing it will be what they want exactly…and it probably wont be. LOL…They kind of deserve it.
Only 2 more days and we will know a tad bit more, and then a little more the next week, and so on until the release on March 15th…that’s my guess anyway.
Nope. Why would it die when new content is being added and it’s being ported over to PC? Tad ridiculous to believe otherwise.
Still a bit too early to be throwing MS and IG under the bus here I think.
Though, yes, the PR team needs to improve. We should not be entering release month with such a dearth of information.
“The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated.”

Just powerline through the silence guys! XD
I’m HYPE AS F*** for Season 3!!!
-New content for my fav fighter of all time
-Played Season 3 a TON at the KI WORLD KUP and was blown away by how much better they made the game (system changes, graphics, and char balance–though Glacius, Fulgore, and Omen seemed a bit too strong)
-PC version means a BIG influx of new players
-Game is still at EVO
-TWO more YEARS of the KI WORLD KUP!!!
