Guest characters don't have to be from MS IPs

I’d vote for my favorite villain in FF:

What I meant to say is “screen” not sides. The closest to that is Fulgore, but he appears at the edges, and without attacking.

Also, I know Scorpion’s spear is blockable; I was just trying to look at it with a specific mechanic in the hopes of making it somewhat unique.

Yeah but makes it way easier. No licensing and agreements to be made… or profit sharing.

That still doesn’t really mean much in the long run. He’s still going behind you regardless, which again, Hisako does.

A LOT of teleports go behind you. Being a 2D FG makes it kind of hard to get around that - I’m NOT taqlking about sides here, but the literal edge of your TV screen - he jumps out of your TV and jumps back in on the other side. It’s the visual element I’m referring to.

Maybe an offensive teleport he could do in the air as well (which he does do in some of his MK games)? The only other character that can already do that is Spinal (and only with meter).

I would also like use his leg trip as a command grab (or regular throw) and his burning cartwheel as a juggle/linker.

MK guest characters could work really well, tbh. Think of all the unique combo mechanics a character like Scorpion or Kenshi could bring. A crossover game could work, too, seeing as how KI had very bloody roots in its old days. Ed Boon even considered the idea but stated that it would have to be Xbox exclusive.

That is true. But I don’t think visual differences mean much in terms of uniqueness if they ultimately act identically if not very similarly. That’s like saying Ryu and Akuma’s fireballs are different because of the color but that’s about it.

I did forget about him being able to do it in the air though and that he can do things like cancel it or fake out an attack. I imagine faking it out wouldn’t really help in KI but at least we have 3-button variations for teleports. My MKX knowledge is limited lol.

That and he also has an air throw which, so far, only one character in KI has. I don’t think he should be able to start combos from it like Orchid does but it’s something to add towards uniqueness. Maybe it could work as a Combo Ender kinda like Maya.

Leg Trip could be a good HKD Ender I guess. Not quite sure how you’d break that but I think it could work. I have no idea what Burning Cartwheel is lol.

It’s where he does a backflip with both feet on fire and kicks the opponent in a beautiful arc that almost slides him off the ground in the beginning.

I would die to see a cross-over game. KI v MK would be legendary! I do not however want any MK characters, or any other character for that matter to be a guest character in KI. Let Season 4 (If it happens) be littered with original ideas!

If I could get a charecter that’s not a Microsoft up then I would gladly take a hunter from bloodborne. That would excite me to no end. Especially if bloodborne mechanics showed up as the charecters mechanics. Imagine parrying with the pistol for an amazing looking command grab visceral, healing potential damage or a new type of potential damage specific to the hunter by attacking. Like 75% damage is converted to potential damage for 2 seconds after getting hit/ comboed and attacking can restore that health if you open up the opponent within that 2 seconds.

He could be a stance fighter utilizing the transformation weapons from the game. Probably the saw blade plus a gun or even cooler the possibility to choose and switch weapons in game from the 3 starter weapons or some 3 combination of weapons from bloodborne during the fight. Switching weapons when a specific weapon Ender is used. Heavy knockdown ender brings out the kirkhammer a long sword that can transform into a large hammer

Actually its a british game except for 3.

I will never understand why those Brits were sooooo into Janet Jackson…

OH! OH! OH! THERE’S A NOSTALGIA-FRIENDLY GUEST CHARACTER IDEA!

JANET JACKSON FOR KIS4!!!

Not talking about the franchise, man; just the 1…

You’re talking about Orchid, right? Gargos’s command throw can be done in air.

I thought that was only the boss version.

Devil’s Divide - (AIR OK)
Gargos grabs the opponent by their neck. Gargos can then press any button or direction to perform follow up attacks during Devil’s Divide. Waiting automatically performs Sadistic Drop. Air version always performs Sadistic Drop.

Taken straight from his command list in his character forum.

Huh…well **** me then.

To be fair, Gargos only grabs them from the air whereas Orchid does a legit air grab. Unless you’re talking about Shadow Lords.

No, he has a legit air throw normally, not just in Shadow Lords.

Nobody ever uses it though.
