So I’ll be messaging you to play after 8:30 then. I recommend using your mic so we can discuss the game and I can help you learn, but if you need to not use the mic that’s fine too. Just work with me to learn the game like you did when you first started the Souls games.
I’m really enjoying For Honor, it’s really good fun with good depth. I love the level up and customisable system.
My favourite and best character at the moment is def the conqueror, I have him to lvl 1:16 with GL50.
I really like the look and play style of the lawbringer but I feel he has a really rough time against some characters so have dropped him for now, I have him at lvl 1:7 GL39.
I’m also enjoying learning the Raider as he’s just a lot of mean fun, I have him at only lvl 16 at the mo though.
A few of my conqueror clips from the last few days:
This game has been extremely enjoyable for me, aside a few server issues. Lawbringer is definitely my favorite character to use, and I’ve got him to around lvl8 on rep 2. He seems to struggle a lot against fast characters, and I think his block stance switching is slower than lights from Peacekeepers, Orochi, and maybe Berserkers.
Aside from that, he’s really good at punishing, and it’s worth it to get used to parries. Here’s a dominion game I played over the weekend.
Dominion and team fights seem to be what the Lawbringer is good at. He can clear minion waves easily with his light+heavy command, and has enough crowd control to throw people off ledges constantly. His crowd control is also very strong in team fights too. His Long Arm attack is unblockable and good at draining an enemy’s revenge mode to prevent a comeback. Overall, I’d say he’s best for pushing middle point on dominion, defending points with lots of stage hazards and ledges, or sticking with the team to crowd control while teammates dish out most damage.
I’m away until the 25th, but when I’m back I’d love to hook up to play this. It’s a lot more fun grouped up with friends. I might be able to get my brother to join us and if @xSkeletalx joins that’s a full team of four. My brother and I aren’t good at the game, but it should still be a good time.
Its a VERY LOOSE schedule at best. Its never accurate, but its the basic routine I see unfolding each night. Lots of pausing to stop and do something for the kids, ect… which really hinders my online play.
I play PK. We’re the noob stompers. I think we fall short at end game, but I could be wrong. Against solid defense counter guard breaks, and blocking there really isn’t much we can do. I can feint a heavy but if you just refuse to parry and only block I’ve really have no way to do damage. If I parry and exhaust you, you just need to block and counter guard break.
That’s just my experience though, the game is new so I certainly could be wrong. I find in the chaos modes, 4v4 and such I dominate as PK the skill diversity and other variables make the class strong. While in duel and brawl my preferred modes it’s a real struggle versus the characters who are strong defensively. I might pick up kensei just because of the unblockable feint shinanigans, which always insure a way to get damage they have to guess if you feint or not and if you do and they parry you get a parry.
I’ve also read they are patching counter guard breaks to be easier. This going to make purely defensive play even easier. But on the bright side they’re fixing the lack of bleed on our second and 3rd stabs for PK.
