Failed to what I saw in the teaser could possibly assume he’s a remix or clone.
Yes, I already went over that. When we know so little about a piece of content, drawing conclusions and making assumptions in both positive and negative directions makes very little sense.
Yeah. SEEMS. It doesn’t matter what it seems like, because we haven’t seen any actual gameplay yet.
Stop.
This thread has evolve into everyone trying to discuss properly against one single person why Eagle is not a clone.
Let’s drop this line and focus in what we have
What do you think about his theme? Sounds really nice!
Simply kick ■■■.
Gotta hear more
I appreciate that they seem to be committing to more potentially guitar-less music, even though I prefer the tracks that have guitars in them. Variety is good.
So far it sounds appropriate, but other than that I feel it’d be best to reserve judgement until I hear the while thing. That one small section could end up being the only interesting part of his theme. I doubt it, but it’s a possibility.
Yeah, speaking of flame wars, can’t wait for
Thunder theme vs Eagle theme
Thunder’s is better because Mick
kappa
It’s a couple chant lines and percussion there’s no way to know what the theme sounds like yet
Like Gouken, Eagle is what I consider a Legacy character. he’s never been in the game but hes been references a lot in the story.
Juri on the otherhand is an original character that has no prior connection to the previous established universe. She adds to it, shes not pulled from it. (yes shes one of Dictator’s minions, but thats how shes introduced. We never hear about Juri until her reveal.)
I realize the distinction is in a grey area but my expectations for a new character would be more like Juri than Gouken. Gouken is ok, but I was really expecting Juri.
Meanwhile, you use ARIA as an example of a character more unique than him.
I think you’re having trouble putting your reasoning into words.
Unfortunately for you, you don’t get to decide the definition of “new” in this situation. So while your disappointment is internally consistent, it basically amounts to nothing. It’s your own fault for walking in with an expectation beyond what you were told. You were told “not remix, not clone”, and under those given terms, Eagle is entirely new. Your mind filled in the blanks when it shouldn’t have.
None of this explains why you called him a clone character though…
Probably this.
i respectfully disagree. I have my criteria for what a new character is or is not and this is why I am saying Eagle isn’t a new character. Hes never been in the game, but hes someone that already existed. By this definition I do not consider him as new.
If we aren’t allowed to distinguish between things by our observations then why bother having different names? Why do we distinguish between apples and oranges? Because they are different, not just simply because of I “get to decide the definition” as you put it. I’ve differentiated why Eagle isn’t a “new” character. hes a previous established existence instead of establishing a new unestablished character.
aria IS more unique than Eagle though. Im not sure where youre pulling the distinguishing feature from. Shes tied into the story but shes also someone that we never heard of until S2 dropped. To me thats what makes her “new” instead of a story character thats never been in the game. But I suppose Im not making myself clear.
You’re confusing distinction with opinion. I’m sorry you feel the need to be rude but this is where I stand on the topic.
Lets agree to disagree if you can’t explain your point of view without resorting to simply telling someone to shutup.
This debate is going nowhere. And telling someone to shut up doesn’t help in ending one respectfully. Time to move on.
