Cool, I don’t have to wake up earlier! 11 am sounds like a great hour to me

If we can invite each others, who wants to test DBZ netcode with Europe?

Well. i’ll be dipped in ā– ā– ā– ā–  and rolled in breadcrumbs…they sent me one, too. And i know not a ā– ā– ā– ā–  thing about this game…

What do you want to know?

Having watched that video and some other stuff Storm recommended to me, i think my biggest question now is about defensive options.

Can someone remind me of one thing. Within combos in this game, the combo counter can be either orange or blue and i remember that meant something, but not sure what…

There’s also been a green ring that happens around characters that sometimes occurs in matches that i don’t know what that signifies.

The reflect seems like it can ā€˜parry’ some close normals in game and i wonder if that’s a situation where you’re both neutral again or you’re plus afterwards.

And something i’m feeling from my little cram session? This is not going to be an easy game to play on a pad; i think it would be hella easier to control and command on a stick.

Ah well, i’ll play in one or two of the sessions and mess around. Maybe this will get me fully interested in the game.

You can Tech out of it. Like that little backflip that they do with a flash? Means that you are back to neutral.

Yes the blue counter means it’s no longer a true combo and you can just tech out.

Just to be clear, blue combo counter means you could have teched out at some point. If the counter is blue and you’re actively being hit, there isn’t anything you can do about it at that point. You could have escaped somewhere earlier in the combo though (this is analogous to the combo counter in GG turning gray).

Means the attack is unblockable I believe. You see it primarily when people are trying to throw. As a note though, the air throw (which also generates the ring) cannot hit a grounded opponent, and the same is obviously true of the grounded one hitting someone in the air.

Reflect negates chip damage and procs on projectiles, normals, and specials (basically any hit). Near as anyone can tell, you are both at neutral if someone uses reflect for defense and you get pushed away. It has a ton of recovery though, so if you whiff it in front of someone (you can do it in neutral too, as opposed to something like MvC’s pushblock) you can eat dirt for it.

Will likely be a preference thing. I’ve found GG to be much more comfortable for me to play on pad, and am planning on playing this game on pad as well.

So I managed to get one game in this beta so far even though the Xbox one is kinda wack so far. The movement seems a lot more restricted than I expected it to be. It’s definitely as not as movement heavy as most ASW games and you really have to rely on the game’s mechanics for mobility

Have you gotten one game in? It’s crashing for me and a lot of other people. I might just go back to sleep lol

It’s either crashing or not letting me fight at all :frowning:

Yeah, I got to play 1 game. I wouldn’t have been able to make that comment otherwise lol. Oh and I don’t like 18

Did any of you find a way to invite friends instead of playing with randoms?

I’ve managed to make it to the lobby and change my avatar to Krillin lol

How do we get fights to start? I’ve been standing in the arena with nothing happening.
